Hi Everyone
February is definitely the month of love! It has been an awesome month for me and I am truly blessed!
I hope your month has also been filled with much love and many blessings.
Berry Bleu's Feb challenge was one of love. I created a card and here it is.
On my previous layout I had used some feathers and they just looked so good that I decided to also use them on this card. It just softens it up! I also used Prima Romantique and Botanical papers, Making Memory Love Struck chipboards.
Thanks for checking out my blog today!
Have a super evening.

This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Ma (Mom) - Prima Challenge
Hi Everyone
What a Monday?! I am so glad that the working day is over and I finally managed to struggle home in the traffic and have eventually found my way to this post! Shew...it was a looong day!
Anyways, today I have a layout that I have created for a Prima challenge, but is also a little different, as is also a layout that I have made for a friend. Her Mom passed away last week and so I thought I would do a layout and give it to her as a gift. I hope she will be pleased.
Here was the sketch:
And here is my offering:
I used Prima Printery, Botanical papers and Romantique papers. The rub on is Kaisercraft and stickers are Websters Pages. The chipboard pieces are Design Works, with unknown brand flowers. I also used feathers on the corners to really soften up this layout.
Here are 2 close-ups.
This layout made me remember that I must really not take family for granted and really enjoy the time that we have now! I hope you will do the same!
Have a great evening.

Little Lady Birthday Card
Hi Everyone
Yesterday was my neice's 11th birthday and she is turning into such a beautiful, young lady. So I wanted to make a card that was indicative of this and really fit for a young lady. So here is the card I made.

Once Upon a Sketch - Feb 15th Challenge - Greek Islands
Hi Everyone
I hope you had a super week and are relaxing, creating and enjoying the weekend.
I have been busy this week with various projects, some that I am not able to share at the moment, but here is one that I can share with you.
This was the challenge sketch.
Here is my take on it.
This layout was sort of an experiment, but think it came together in the end. I used mosaic tiles and 7 Gypsies Mykonos papers and printed olive branches. Now the story of the olive branches is interesting as they were on a serviette, and I cut them out, scanned them. Then I printed it again, and cut out the design again. I think they actually came out really well. The bricks are hand drawn and painted.
In anycase, one of my dreams is to have a relaxing, beach holiday on one of the Greek Islands. I would love to eat their beautiful olives, drink their lovely wine and just be a Greek for at least 2 weeks on the beach! I hope that it will one day come to fruition. This is what this layout is about - I can dream!
Here are 2 close-ups below.
Thanks for coming by to visit today.
Enjoy the weekend.

Welcome
Hi Everyone
I have had such a busy weekend! I am always trying to do things that I cannot get to do in the week and also had 2 birthday functions. I love family and friends functions, so it was actually really nice, and was once again a scorcher of a day here! I am certainly not complaining! ;-)
I wanted to show you a "Welcome", an altered project, which I have made to hang in my hallway over my family photo's. It came out so lovely. I am really happy with it. I thought it would be so nice to have this little greeting to everyone that entered our home. I included 3 photo's of the 3 of us, which obviously make up our little family.
Here are a few photo's.
I used the welcome chipboard word (bought such a long time ago that I cannot remember the make) and 7 Gypsies Crazy Love Paper and stickers, Prima Flowers, Basic Grey chipboard stickers and rub ons and some lace and a key I got on a gift last year.
I am really happy to have this hanging in my hallway and I hope always that anyone who enters, will feel welcome and know that this is a home of family and much love!
Happy Sunday to you.

MME Blog Challenge 32 - You make me Laugh
Hi Everyone
It's Friday afternoon! Don't these weeks just seem to fly and the time is a-ticking! I have had such a busy week and I know there is a busy weekend that lies ahead! It's all good though and my creativity is definitely keeping me busy.
Today I want to share a layout that I did for the My Minds Eye Challenge. Here is the sketch below.
Here is my version. I turned the sketch around.
This layout really does make me laugh as Joe was prancing around with my shoes on, and was such a funny bunny! I think these are the precious moments that one must capture and definitely scrap so that they are documented.
The materials used were MME So Sophie and Lost and Found papers and Meadow Lark accessory sheet. The alphabet was Making Memories and a "china special". The stamp is a Hero Arts stamp that I used for the border and the circle stamp is a 7 Gypsies stamp.
Well I hope you will find some time to also be creative this weekend.
Have a great one.

Under An African Sun - Scrap Africa Challenge
Hi Everyone
It's the most beautiful, sunny African day and is really apt for this post today. There is a new Scrap Africa Challenge blog and their current challenge is an Africa/African one. This was quite challenging as I wanted to do a double page layout to have enough space for photo's as well as African things. In any case, this is the result.
I really wanted to incorporate Africa as well as it's many attractions. The plants are Aloe's and the big tree is a Boabab tree, which are truly African plants. I also wanted to have the map of Africa on the layout and so that was my first step to create the outline of Africa, with a" made" stencil and Dazzles spray ink.
Here are some close ups, which also allow you to see the textured paper used.

There is nothing quite like the African Sun or the African bush and this layout just reminded me of the amazing place I live in, and the amazing animals and plant life that we have. I surely have an African heart.
Thanks for stopping by today and having a peek.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon.

Birthday Card
Hi Everyone
It's my husband's birthday on Monday. Yes, the day before Valentine's Day, so there are always two cards to make. I want to share the birthday card with you, and will also form part of the Bo Bunny Card Challenge Tuesday. My husband is really not a flowery kinda guy, so I really didn't want to put flowers on this card and wanted to make it more masculine. Here is my card below.

Today I want to share with you my layout for the Once Upon a Sketch challenge. The criteria was as follows:
February 1st Challenge
Journalling Criteria/theme: LOVE
and the sketch was this.
I actually have 2 loves in my life and that is my husband and my son. So I did a layout called - My Boys - and is about these precious loves of my life.
The picture was taken at Umdloti Beach and so I wanted to definitely bring in a sea side theme to my layout.
It came together so nicely and here is my creation below.
Here is a close-up of the natural embelishments.
This is where I tell you that every single shell and piece of wood has been collected over the last 40 years by me and my family and this layout just seemed perfect to use them on. I love the natural feel that it gives the page.
Materials used:
Heidi Swapp - Sky School stripe paper
Dazzles Spray Ink
Basic Grey Chipboard stickers
Fancy Pants lettering
Scrapbook King rub on
Corrogated cardboard (whitewashed and browned)
Doodle Bug Design Swirl Stickers
Natural Twine
Thank you for stopping by today..
I hope you had an awesome Monday..
Take Care
