This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Retirement/Farewell Card - ScrapBerry's Words Live Forever Collection

Hello Everyone

I have a retirement/farewell card to share with you today!
One of my friends at work is retiring after 44 years of service! It's a lifetime!
I was honoured to make him a card and I hope it will be something special for him.

I used the ScrapBerry's Words Live Forever Collection.
It's such a great collection for masculine projects.

Just a quick pop in...and hope to get some more time in front of the PC soon.
But for now, hope you have a fabulous day!

Art Journal Page - Graphic 45 Ladies Diary

Hello Everyone

I am so loving playing in my art journal!!!! ;-)
I bought some matte gel medium a few weeks ago and it's just so fabulous!
I can hardly put it down! ;-)

I created this art journal page, using some Graphic 45 goodies.

I basically took old book pages and used them for my background.
Then I fussy cut the different pieces and florals, which I then stuck down with gel medium.
I then added the modelling paste wall with a stencil and coloured it with various inks etc.

I really love how it turned out.

It was so good to be using up some of these Graphic 45 bits and pieces.

The sentiment:
Smile and Be Happy
Life is what you make it

So true! ;-)

Okay sweet people...
Hope you have a fabulous day!
Be back soon!

Father's Day Cards - Penelope Dee Maestro Collection

Hello Everyone

I hope you had a super Father's Day yesterday! ;-)
We had a lovely day with the family and it was so good to chat, laugh and just spend time together, celebrating the Fathers in the family! ;-)

I made some Father's Day cards from the fabulous Penelope Dee Maestro Collection.
It's sooo cool and is just perfect for masculine cards! ;-)

As you will see, I used the alphabet stencil on all 3 cards! This stencil is a definite favourite for me! ;-)
I also used my new Distress Oxides....it was so much fun and just blissful creating! ;-)
They are all a bit grungy and I love how they all turned out.

I have not, by far, even begun to play with my Distress Oxides and I know that many, many projects are going to be made with them.  They are also my new favourite toys! ;-)

I hope you are having a good Monday and that the week ahead is blessed! ;-)
See you soon!

Mothers Day Card - Penelope Dee Mother of Pearl

Hello Everyone

I have had a lovely day at home relaxing and also creating in the background.

Today I have a Mothers Day card that I will definitely use in the future.
Sadly I only got these papers after Mothers Day.
Never the less...I really enjoyed the fussy cutting and the gorgeous papers.

These papers were so pretty, that I really did not want to do too much extra, except fussy cut them and arrange them beautifully! ;-)

The doilies, the roses and the butterflies were all fussy cut.
They are so soft and beautiful! ;-)

I know this card will come in handy, down the line.
So it's stored for now! ;-)

I hope you had a fabulous Friday!
Cheers for now.

Altered Box - BoBunny and Pentart

Hello Everyone

Apologies that I have been missing for a week.
My Son was writing exams and it was the first time that he had to write exams, so I had to assist and help and that took up quite a bit of my time.
Thankfully they are writing their last exams today and then there is 2 weeks of school and then holidays! We have made it! LOL

Anyways, I am sharing an altered box that I made.
I was inspired by Marta Lapkowska...she gave me some wonderful seeds of inspiration.
If you haven't checked out her blog or YouTube channel...then really do yourself a favour.

So here's the box.

I used BoBunny laser cut tags and adhered them to the box.
I then used Dekor Paints (Grey and Pink) from Pentart to paint the box and then still added some thick gesso for some white highlights.

Lastly I added some Pentart Chameleon wax and Antique wax paste.

I had taken a few photo's while I was making the box and one can really see the waxes...they really add a shimmery yet "oldy" and vintage feel to it.
I also think the tags add such gorgeous texture and detail to the box...almost like an Indian trinket type box.

I really do love how this turned out.

Well tomorrow is a Public Holiday here and so I am looking forward to a long weekend of relaxation and also some crafting.

Wishing you a fabulous day!

Mixed Media Tags - Berry71Bleu

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are having a really good week.

There's another gorgeous Berry71Bleu mood board this month.

I loved the blues and purples from it.

So created some tags.

I used stencils and acrylic paint to resist the distress inks to create the backgrounds.

I love how they turned out.

There's still time to play so pop along and have a look at the other inspiration too! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a fabulous one!

Art Journal Page - Distress Oxide Inks

Hello Everyone

I have another art journal page to share with you today.

I managed to get my hands on 2 Distress Oxides, which I have fallen in love with.
I only managed to get a Walnut and Vintage Photo. Sadly they were both browns, but I know that I will be getting more verrrrry soon!
They are fabulous! ;-)

So here's the result.

I used Tim Holtz stamps and stencils, along with a BoBunny stamp.
The colours and effects just blended so beautifully.

Here's a closer look.

I am not sure if you can clearly see the subtleties on the background.

This was the sentiment of this page:

Listen to the wind in your soul
Let it take you where your heart wants to go.

My white gel pen and white ink really came in handy on this page.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the visit.
Have a super day!

I used acrylic paints on the background and then added stamping, white highlights and the gorgeous sunflowers.

I was inspired by Vicky  Papaioannou and Dyan Reaveley.
Vicky has amazing You Tube videos too.

The sentiment is this:
Wherever life plants you, bloom with Grace! ;-)

Here are some close-ups.

I love how this page turned out and the vibrant colours.
The sentiment is awesome too! ;-)

Friendship Card

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a friendship card, that I made for a friend of mine.
We have a "Desperate Housewives" group that meets every Tuesday and it really is such soul food for me! So one of the ladies has been through a really tough time over the last few months and the group crocheted her a beautiful blanket and we gave her a card.

Here is the card that I made.

I used orange and yellow acrylic paint and a sponge to create the background and then stamped with some brown ink and a BoBunny stamp.

The big sunflower I stamped and coloured with the same acrylic paints and just used a lit bit of water to get the paint moving easier. I then used BoBunny Pearlescent to add the black seeds in the centre.

I've had this Petaluma stamp for ages. It's certainly one of my favourites.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!
