This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Farewell Card

Hello Everyone

I made a card for a colleague of mine, actually a good friend too, who retires after 44 years of service at South African Airways. That's rather an amazing achievement and I will really miss him.

Anyways, he is going to carry on full-time with his woodworking and so I had the perfect chippies for his card.

I used the That's My Boy papers from Echo Park and some Enmarc chippies.

I am also organising his farewell on Thursday, so have a hectic week ahead.

Tomorrow is also Joe's Birthday and so I did some party packs for school and this past weekend we did a little Birhday party for him and a few of his friends.

It has certainly been a busy time.

Anyways...thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate your comments and love.
Have a super evening!

Tags for Berry71Blue using Heartfelt Creations

Hello Everyone

We got some gorgeous goodies from Heartfelt Creations to play with, this month for the die challenge! I so loved the dies and the gorgeous stamps! They have such pretty papers too! ;-)

I created some tags.

I stamped and water coloured and fussy cut, the sunflower image twice! ;-)

For the second tag I gessoed, heat embossed with white embossing powder and then played with the water colours.

I also stamped and water coloured the butterflies.

So if you created a project with die-cuts this month, why not pop on over to Berry71Bleu and add your project.  Otherwise, you still have time to create something new! ;-)\

Hope you have a super Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Sally - Scrap Around the World July Challenge/ Prima BAP July

Hello Everyone

Sorry I was missing in action for a few days, but I was really busy creating in the background and really needed to get some projects finished! ;-)

I am happy to say that I can share a layout with you today, which I made for the Scrap Around the World Challenge here and the Prima BAP for this month too.

July 2015 BAP Jennifer

So here's my take.

This page is of my new puppy Sally and the bright and vibrant colours from the mood board were perfect for this little character! ;-)

In February my dog Blossom passed away and it was so incredibly sad.  So when my friend at work asked me if I wanted a puppy, I initially said "no".  He kept on at me for 2 weeks and eventually I said that I would take a puppy...there were 7.  At just 3 weeks old, I was asked if I would take her early because their Mother had stopped feeding the pups.  Her teats were too sore and they were raw, so she would not let them suckle.  So I took the little ball of fluff and had to feed her every 2 to 3 hours.  It really was so absolutely tiring, but so rewarding. She is now 6 weeks old and is absolutely precious.  A little Shar Pei.

So yes, I am really hoping that she is with our family for a very long time and I hope she walks a thousand miles with us! Blossom was only 15 months old and we had really hoped that she would be with us many years and many miles.

Sally has brought much sunshine, laughter and much energy to the house again.  So these vibrant and happy colours, so perfectly match her little character! ;-)

I used lots of Prima flowers and also used the fun and colourful 'All About Me" collection, along with a few bits and bobs from other Prima collections.

I love the splashy and grungy new Prima stamps and had a lot of fun playing with them.

I even fished out some very old rub ons, which I really do feel are still so cool, and managed to use a few around the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really do appreciate the visit!
Have a super evening!

You Never Know when you are Making a Memory - Mood Board Challenge no.55 - Scrap Africa

Hello Everyone

We have a gorgeous new Mood Board over at Scrap Africa here and maybe on your summer/winter vacation, you will find the time to create a project!

Here's that mood board! ;-)

I created a page of my hubby, from waaay back.

When I met Johann, his parents owned a farm in Mpumalanga.  They grew vegetables and grapes. We spent a lot of time on the farm, before we were married and it was a wonderful place to roam and just relax.

I have had such a nice time playing with my G45 papers lately...that it must come as no surprise that I used some more! LOL.  This time it was French Country.

I so enjoyed the fussy cutting and had to include some sunflowers, as these are so much a part of South African farms and they are also my favourite flowers.

You can create a card, tag, layout, an altered project, journal pages or even a digital project! You can create whatever you like! ;-)

Just remember to also tell us what inspired you from the mood board above.

Maybe you can play along! ;-)

There is also a yummy package from the Mini Art to be won.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

I am loving making tags and cards at the moment....can you tell? LOL.  It certainly is a lot less time intensive, so this makes for fun creating but also allows me time to get some family time and home time in.

I made another Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Tag and I really can't tell you how much I love this collection.  I think I am going to make a tag booklet! ;-) 2 down!

A close-up.

Quickly, let me also show you another photo of my new, sweet Sally.
In Afrikaans there is a saying, Maagie vol, ogies toe.... (tummy full, eyes closed)
She is soooo precious! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
I so appreciate all your visits and love! ;-)

Mixed Media Cards - BoBunny Juliet Collection

Hello Everyone

In my last post I created some classic and romantic cards with the Juliet collection.  I had so much fun playing with this collection that I decided to create some mixed media cards too.

I really had a lot of fun creating these! I did get some nice ideas and inspiration from the Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine - Issue 136.  If you are a card maker then this is really a great magazine for some inspiration.

Here's a closer look at the first one.

And here's the second...

It's been really nice to have some time off this week and I have found time to create, in between spending time with the children and also doing stuff that I have wanted to do around the house.  So busy for sure...but really very nice! ;-)

Here's a photo of the kids and little Sally, at the park this week.

Considering it's winter...the days are still reasonably warm.  But yikes, the mornings and evenings are chill!!

Please bear with me,if I have not visited your blog this week....I will be popping in real soon! ;-)
Have a super evening!

Hello Friend - Graphic 45 Tag

Hello Everyone

As I mentioned in my previous post, we got a little, new addition to the family.  She is a little Shar-pei. So here's a first look at her.  These were taken the first day we got her.  She is only 3 and a half weeks old.

She is really so sweet.  As to her name...not quite decided..I can't believe that we haven't decided on a definite one yet! But I am sure we will very soon! ;-)

I created a Graphic 45 tag, after playing with some Botanical Tea in my last project.  This really is such a pretty and feminine collection.

So here it is.

A little look from the side.

I so love this collection!

Anyways, hope you had a super Sunday and weekend!
Thanks for popping by!

Hello Pretty Bird - Scrap Africa Sketch Challenge no.54

Hello Everyone

Such a busy week!! My hubby has been away and so I have been chief cook and bottle washer again! My husbands boys are a also here for the holidays...so it's a full house!

I also got a new baby yesterday...a little Shar pei puppy...3 weeks old.  Her Mommy stopped feeding them because they were hurting her too much, so I took her early and I am now Mommy to this small little thing. So yes...my hands have been full!! ;-)

There is a new sketch over at Scrap Africa  and we would love for you to play along.

I did a layout of one of my other babies...my bird Pepsi! ;-)

I used the really pretty papers and elements from Graphic 45, Botanical Tea along with a Kaisercraft stencil.

I did lots of fussy cutting and really enjoyed using all these little elements.

The stencilling and stamping just added such a nice softness to this page.  I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Maybe you have some time to play along? You have until 14 July.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a super day!
