This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Discover,Escape Tag - Distress Inks - Take it Make it Challenge Dec

Hello Everyone

I did this tag quite a few weeks ago and I am now finally sharing it.

I used the paint resist method, again, with distress inks and a stencil and then I added some stamping. I also used some rub-ons that I have had for ages.

I also stamped, coloured and fussy cut the flower cluster too. The flower cluster was layered over a leaf chippie.

Here's a closer look at that background.

I am also entering this tag in the Take it, Make it Dec Challenge, over at the Craft Stamper here.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the visit.
Have a super day!

Thinking of You Tag - Take It Make It Challenge April - Craft Stamper Magazine

Hello Everyone

I am playing along with the

I absolutely love this magazine and it was not avail in our CNA stores for months.
I happened to see the March issue, just by chance and snatched it up quick time! ;-)
It inspired me to play along with their challenge this month.

I made a tag,

I used a Tim Holtz stencil for the background and then a Penelope Dee and Penny Black stamps for the swirls and the pretty flowers,

I stamped the flowers on patterned paper, with old writing, which I then fussy cut and added some white gel pen highlights.

I love the soft colours of this tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by and thinking of me.....
Have a fabulous day!

Birthday Card - BoBunny Secret Garden / Take It Make it Challenge June

Hello Everyone

I can't believe that a week has passed and I have not posted anything on my blog!
Oooops...my bad!!!! I have no idea where the time went!

I am posting from a freezing and icy Johannesburg...I think the max temp today was like 9 or 10C.
That is very cold for us Africaners that love the warm temps and sun!!!
Anyways, we had some good rain too, but it certainly has made it verrrrrry cold! ;-)

I have a Birthday card to share with you today.
I used the gorgeous Secret Garden Collection from BoBunny.

I used a BoBunny Stickable stencil - Party Time and a Versamark clear pigment stamp and white embossing powder to create the bottom part of the stamp.  I then went and did some watercolour effects over the embossing, using blue, purple and pink spray inks.

I used BoBunny Floral stamp to stamp the flowers and the leaves on some of the pretty patterned papers and then fussy cut the elements.  I also fussy cut some of the swirls from the patterned papers.
Lastly, I stamped the Birthday sentiment with a Penny Black stamp.

I am also entering this card for the Take it Make it challenge, over at the Craft Stamper.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you had a great weekend and a great Monday!

Hello Gorgeous - Prima BAP June 2015/ Take It Make It Challenge June

Hello Everyone

I hope that you had a super Thursday! It's another very cold day in Johannesburg and I can already feel that now that the sun is starting to disappear that the cold is creeping in! UGH!!!!

Being a summery, African girl, I hate the cold and Johannesburg being so high up, really does have extreme temps.  So the mornings we freeze and by the afternoon it's quite warm and then by the evenings we are wrapping up again! LOL....the winter blues! ;-)

Okay enough moaning about the cold....I have something VERY hot to share with you today! I made a canvas for the Prima BAP as well as the Take it Make it June Challenge, which is all about texture.

To explain the HOT...this man has caught my eye for a while now and when he opens his mouth to speak, I am weak at the knees! LOL...He is really one, hot dude and so decided to do a canvas, about this hunk! Gerard Butler.

Here was the Prima sketch.

June 2015 BAP keren

Here's my canvas.

I had used up my chipboard pieces from the Engraver collection and was left with a chipboard shell, which I decided to use as my background and create the texture.

Prima_Engraver_Chip

This is what it looked like before.  I cut off some bits around the edges and then stuck this down onto the canvas.  I then added lots of gesso and colour, along with my new Prima stamps, which I absolutely love.
I mixed Gathered Twigs Ranger Distress Paint into my gesso and lathered it in and around the chipboard.  Then I went and coloured the edges with some Esperesso pigment ink and also stamped on it too, with various Prima stamps.

I used up lots of Prima bits and pieces and just added layers with them.
I kept the canvas very masculine and so kept the flowers to a minimum, and the styling also simpler, along with metal cogs and accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my eye candy!!!! LOL
Hope you have a super day!

Card - Take it Make It Challenge February

Hello Everyone

I have a card for the Take It, Make It February Challenge here.

February Challenge:
Stencilling

I used a Prima stencil to ink onto my whitewash cardstock and then added some border and word stamping.  The doilies were stamped and fussy cut.

The chipboard leaves I coloured with green ink and then added some white embossing powder.

I really enjoyed making this card and think the design came out pretty neat! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

Hello Friend Card - Take it Make it Challenge

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a card that I made for the Take it Make It Challenge.

I used some gorgeous Graphic 45 stamps along with some gorgeous BoBunny papers.

I created texture by embossing the back layer of paper and also doing some gesso stencilling on the card itself.

This card is about everything I love...pretty flowers, butterflies and soft colouring! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a great evening!
