This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Christmas Tags - FabScraps - Holly Jolly Christmas Collection

Hello Everyone

I am back today with some Christmas tags, using the gorgeous collection from FabScraps - Holly Jolly.

I did quite a bit of fussy cutting and used some of the gorgeous chipboard pieces too.

I did some stamping on the background and also adding doodling with a black fine tipped pen. It worked a charm! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by, for some festive cheer today!
It is so scary that time is flying by so fast and I hope that I can get everything done and also get all my Christmas cards and tags done in time!! Yikes

Have a super weekend.

Pair of Christmas Tags - Prima

Hello Everyone

I hope that 2018 is treating you well.
It has been a busy start to the year for me! But I managed to find some time to create this weekend, so my heart is singing! ;-)
I have also been doing quite a bit of publication work in the background and will share this with you in the next few months.

I have a pair of Prima Christmas tags to share with you, that I made this past Christmas.

Here is the first one...

I recycled some Prima packaging also, which is the base of this tag.

I love that delicate die-cut too! ;-)

Here's the second tag...

I did stamping, colouring and fussy cutting on this one!

On these 2 tags I also used Polkadoodles stamps, which I absolutely adore.

I still have some more Christmas projects to share...so hope you went get bored with them!

Wishing you a fabulous Sunday!
Cheers for now!

Christmas Tags - BoBunny Christmas Collage

Hello Everyone

The family festivities still continue and my husbands 2 boys arrived yesterday, as well as my brother from London! So we spent a wonderful day yesterday beside the pool, eating and drinking and just spending time together! It was a fabulous day! ;-)

My internet woes still continue but I am persevering with posting, as today seems to be a little better.

I have some tags to share from Christmas and they were all made using BoBunny's Christmas Collage. This is just a festive and beautiful collection.

They are all mixed media and I used stencils, gesso and paint for the background effects! ;-)

And here is the last one.

I made all the flowers from layers and layers on BoBunny petals.

I meant to do a tutorial ages ago and this has reminded me.  So here is a quick little tutorial.

You can use any punched flowers or flat flowers, in this case, BoBunny petals and layer them together to make these flowers.

To get a nice full flower, I would suggest using 4 layers of different sized flowers and 2 flowers in a layer,  So 8 petals or flowers in total.

Now layer the flowers from biggest to smallest and use a brad to fasten them all together.  Rotate the same sized flowers/petals so that they overlap, as well as with the other layers.

Now take a spritzer and spritz the flower, so that all the layers, front and back are drenched.
Use a paper towel to soak up an excess water.

Now carefully close up all the layers and squeeze them pretty tight towards each other.

Twist the tops to make the flower closed.
Be gentle with softer papers as these are more likely to tear.
Now allow the flowers to dry.

Some of the flowers make start to open, especially if you have used cardstock.  Just tighten them up again.  If you have much bigger flowers, then I would suggest turning them upside down and placing them in "shot" glasses as they them keep tight and dry nicely in this position.

I leave the flowers for about 48hrs to dry.  Once they are dried and crisp, start to carefully open and unfold the flowers.  The result is a unique and layered bloom! ;-)

This is a really great way of creating economical flowers and the possibilities are endless, depending on colour, punches, dies, petals etc.

Well thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you are enjoying the Christmas festivities still.

Have a super day!

More Circle Tags - BoBunny

Hello Everyone

I had so much fun creating the Genevieve circle tags that I created some Christmas one's too! @ Lizzy....yes I had that idea too with these Typo tags! LOL

I used the super Dear Santa Collection from BoBunny, along with some BoBunny stickable stencils!

The two round one's above also have some gesso and liquid pearls on, for a mixed media effect.

Here's a look at the individual tags. On this one I used crackle paste and liquid pearls.

The one below is created with stickable stencils and distress inks.

This one is gesso and distress inks.

And the last 2 just distress inks and stickable stencils.

I am so pleased with how these tags came out and it's a good addition to my Christmas needed goodies! ;-)  They were also so much fun to make and relatively easy too! ;-)

Hows your Christmas goodies coming along?

Have a super evening!

Still besotted with Christmas Tags...

Hello Everyone

As the title of this post suggests, I am still so happy and inspired to make Christmas tags.  They are really my favourite at the moment.

Here's my newest.

These 2 are really bits and pieces from my stash.  I am really happy to be using up the stashy bits.

I have recently bought some artificial flowers from the Chinese market and I have started using them on my projects.  They are relatively cheaper than some of the scrappy flowers, but some of them are just as beautiful and have great dimension.

Christmas is just around the corner and my goodness, I still have lots of shopping and things to do.
But luckily I am on leave from next week and so I look forward to lots of scrapping, shopping and just pottering around the house! I cannot wait!

Thanks for the visit today!
I hope it's a super day...

Anyways, I have been diving into my stash and have been using all sorts of bits and pieces.
Here's the result.

The cute little Christmas stamps on the background, I have had for ages and have hardly used them...so out they came and aren't they pretty and delicate.  I am certainly going to use them some more!!!!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Have a super day!

Christmas Tags - BoBunny

Hello Everyone

It's a beautiful, quiet and hot day already in Africa! ;-) I can't believe how how it has got and so quickly!!!! I am not complaining....this is my absolute best time of the year!!! ;-)

I enjoyed making the BoBunny tags so much this week, that I made some Christmas one's too.
I used the very cute Elf Magic collection.

One is the more classic styling and the other a bit more playful.

I think this year I may do more tags and less cards, as the tags will be so perfect on gifts.

Have you started a Christmas list yet?
I think that may be my next project! ;-)

Have a super Sunday!
