There is a gorgeous new mood board up on the Berry71Bleu blog this month.

Here's the gorgeous mood board.

It is just beautiful and I love the sentiment.

So the colouring and the sentiment were the inspiration for my art journal page.

I have had some white Basic Grey rub-ons forever in my stash and though it was time to use them.

So along with stamps, stencils, paints and inks..this page came to life.

Decoupage Mini Album - Berry71Bleu March Challenge

Hello Everyone

I am up on the Berry71Bleu blog at the moment, with a decoupaged mini album.

This is for the March Mood Board, which is really so gorgeous! ;-)

It is also doubling up as a birthday gift for my sister, as it is her special day is next week.

The colouring from the mood board, was my biggest inspiration, along with the gorgeous flowers.

So here is the cover.

I used the gorgeous new, decoupage paper from BoBunny from the Soiree collection with copious amounts of heavy gel medium and some gesso, paint and inks.

The cover elements are also from the beautiful Soiree Collection.

The Good Life - Scrap Around the World March Challenge

Hello Everyone

I am just managing to get this layout up in time before the challenge closes......another hectic month is almost finished! ;-)

Here's the gorgeous mood board this month.



I was inspired by the colouring and the fact that this could be a masculine board.  I saw the little robot drawing and though about boys and their toys....LOL

So here's my minimalistic take.

I created the background with strips of washi tape and then added some watercolouring.

Here's a closer look.  I also used some rub-ons that I have had for ages.

This picture tells quite a story and so I wanted to really document that.  So I put a journalling tag behind the photo - the Details

"We were visiting Johanns Mom on the farm and there was heavy rain the night before.  So we had all gone out in the Landrover and bakkie for a drive and the Landrover got stuck in the mud.  We first tried to pull it out with the 4x4 bakkie, which was no use whatsoever.  Johann then went back to get the tractor, along with Joe and eventually they pulled the Landrover out.  It was huge fun for us all!
This was the 2 of them...very determined on their rescue mission!"

The square chipboard, behind the photo, was heat embossed and is Blue Fern Studios piece.

Good, Beautiful Times - Berry71Bleu

It's my turn up on the Berry71Bleu blog today, with my take on the March Challenge - Flowers Galore.

Here's the challenge, which is right up my alley.

I used the new,beautiful Sweet Life Collection from BoBunny, along with their new, beautiful stamps. I had so much fun creating this page.

I used some chippie pieces from Scrapiniec too!

I also used the stickable stencils from BoBunny, along with some gesso and water colouring.

Make a Wish, Right Here, Right Now - Scrap Around the World March Challange

Hello Everyone

I am so pleased to say that this day has started off with some brilliant sunshine, just the thing I need to get me going and feel energetic.  These last 2 weeks of rainy and overcast weather was really so unlike African weather and so unseasonal.

Anyways, I have a layout to share for the Scrap Around the World Challnge for March here. It's a pretty in pink mood board.



It is a really girlie and soft mood board and so that is what I wanted to bring to my page.

The paintbrush was also inspiration, as I did a lot of watercolour effects with a brush and gave a feathery, flicked look.

I used the gorgeous new collection from BoBunny - Primrose.  It has a wonderful, soft and beautiful colouring.

I did a gesso stencilled background, with lots of watercolouring, stamping and gel pen work, along with lost of fussy cutting.

The flower cluster was also once complete, coloured with some brown water colouring, to blend in with the rest of the page.
