This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Christmas Tag - Prima PPP December 2015

Hello Everyone

I have started my Christmas Cards and tags for 2016!!!! LOL....and Christmas is barely over for 2015! ;-) I guess it's never too early to start! ;-)

The reason being that I wanted to play along with the Prima PPP this month and so went with a Christmas Tag.

Here's the gorgeous Prima PPP board.

So here is the tag.

I used all sorts of Prima bits and pieces.

I also used some lace in between for softness.

Many thanks for stopping by!
Have a super Tuesday.

Christmas Tags - BoBunny Christmas Collage

Hello Everyone

The family festivities still continue and my husbands 2 boys arrived yesterday, as well as my brother from London! So we spent a wonderful day yesterday beside the pool, eating and drinking and just spending time together! It was a fabulous day! ;-)

My internet woes still continue but I am persevering with posting, as today seems to be a little better.

I have some tags to share from Christmas and they were all made using BoBunny's Christmas Collage. This is just a festive and beautiful collection.

They are all mixed media and I used stencils, gesso and paint for the background effects! ;-)

And here is the last one.

I made all the flowers from layers and layers on BoBunny petals.

I meant to do a tutorial ages ago and this has reminded me.  So here is a quick little tutorial.

You can use any punched flowers or flat flowers, in this case, BoBunny petals and layer them together to make these flowers.

To get a nice full flower, I would suggest using 4 layers of different sized flowers and 2 flowers in a layer,  So 8 petals or flowers in total.

Now layer the flowers from biggest to smallest and use a brad to fasten them all together.  Rotate the same sized flowers/petals so that they overlap, as well as with the other layers.

Now take a spritzer and spritz the flower, so that all the layers, front and back are drenched.
Use a paper towel to soak up an excess water.

Now carefully close up all the layers and squeeze them pretty tight towards each other.

Twist the tops to make the flower closed.
Be gentle with softer papers as these are more likely to tear.
Now allow the flowers to dry.

Some of the flowers make start to open, especially if you have used cardstock.  Just tighten them up again.  If you have much bigger flowers, then I would suggest turning them upside down and placing them in "shot" glasses as they them keep tight and dry nicely in this position.

I leave the flowers for about 48hrs to dry.  Once they are dried and crisp, start to carefully open and unfold the flowers.  The result is a unique and layered bloom! ;-)

This is a really great way of creating economical flowers and the possibilities are endless, depending on colour, punches, dies, petals etc.

Well thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you are enjoying the Christmas festivities still.

Have a super day!

Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone

Apologies for being missing in action, but we have had terrible internet problems at home and it is still limping along but I can see today that I am able to get to my blog, so I am trying to post and hopefully it will co-operate.

Merry Christmas to you all and I really hope that you had a beautiful and blessed day yesterday.  I certainly did and it was lovely to spend time with the family and just celebrate Christmas and families.  We swam, we drank, we ate and just enjoyed it all! ;-)

I have some Christmas cards that I made that I still want to share, since I was not able to share them over the last few days.

The first one is a card using FabScraps Christmas Memories collection.

Here is a closer look.

I used a FabScraps stencil for the background too.

Next up is a card using BoBunnys Silver and Gold collection from a few years back.

A closer look...

I have 2 sets of pointsettia die-cuts and they certainly do come in handy at Christmas and make for such pretty embelishments.

Well it has taken me quite a few to post this, so the internet is obviously still not hundreds, but at least it is better than no connection at all.

Wishing you a super Boxing Day today and hoping it is spent with family and friends.
Enjoy the festive cheer.

Christmas Cards

Hello Everyone

Christmas is fast approaching and only a few days left now! ;-)

I had created some Christmas Cards using some Penny Black stamps and had shared 2 here a few days ago.  Here are the other 4 that I made.  These stamps are just too cute! ;-)

These will surely come in handy over the next few days! ;-) The family festivities have begun and today I look forward to a lunch and time spent with the wider family! ;-)

Hope you have a gorgeous day!

Today - Re-make of page

Hello Everyone

You might have read that I had made a page recently for the Berry71Bleu Nov challenge.  My parrot Pepsi got hold of this page and basically had a good go at destroying it! The page was meant to be a present for my Mother-in-Law and so I had to try and fix it.

Luckily I had 2 of the same base papers and so was able to use the second one. I transferred what I could over from the first page and then modified where I needed to.  The chipboard was pretty much eaten on the one side and so this part had to be hidden.

Okay so to re-cap, here was the first page.

And here is the second version.

LOL...I can laugh about it now, but I can tell you, at the time it was not very funny! ;-)

Anyways, hopefully my MIL will like it.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a super day!

Christmas - CSI Case File 185

Hello Everyone

BoBunny was invited to join along with the CSI challenges this month and it was really nice to play along again.  This year has not allowed for much time to play along.

In anycase, here is the case.

And here is my page.

Evidence: I used stripes, dots and snowflakes on my patterned paper.
Testimony: I have some journalling on the back of my page and it talks about Christmas:
I can finally sit down and just enjoy the festivities and family at Christmas. Christmas can always be so hurry, scurry, shop and busy that we sometimes forget what the season is actually about.
This was Christmas eve 2014 and I am relaxed, surrounded by my family...I have long forgotten the shopping sprees, dash to get things done in time and can finally say, Christmas is here! ;-)

I used mostly papers from BoBunny Candy Cane Lane and some Celebr8 chipboard and some stamps from Prima.

Maybe you have some time to play along! ;-)

Have a super day!

Christmas Cards - Penny Black Stamps

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are having a stunning weekend! I have had a super weekend and luckily, it is not over yet! ;-)

I bought some Penny Black stamps a little while back.  I could not pass them up because they were just too cute! ;-) So I stamped, coloured, glued, glittered and flocked! ;-)

Here's the first 2 results.

I used watercolour paints, gelatos and BoBunny pearlescents and glitter pastes for the colouring.
It actually was such good fun! ;-)

I love this fun and happy little elfin! ;-) I think the stripey paper also works really well here! ;-)

I made a total of 6 cards and will share the others with you, over the next few days.

I think these are going to be perfect for the kids! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super Sunday!
