This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Here's a reminder of the gorgeous mood board this month.

Here's my take on it.

The sentiment is: It's Your Time to Bloom.

I used stencils, inks, paints, gesso and chipboard to create this page.

Here's a closer look.

These chipboards used are Celebr8 chippies and the cherry spring blooms were perfect for this page.

We would love to see your take and you still have until the end of the month.

50th Wedding Anniversary Mini Album - BoBunnt C'est La Vie

Hello Everyone

Apologies for the slow postings but unfortunately our internet line is out and I have to connect via my phone.  Anyways, so let me persevere and see how far I get.

Last year my parents were married for 50yrs and so I used an older BoBunny collection for this album. I bought this collection before I even was chosen for the BoBunny Design Team.

I had saved this collection for a special project and so was pleased to eventually use it for this.

My Mom really does love flowers so I made sure that I used these throughout the album.

I also used a lot of stamps, stickers and chipboard pieces.

It was really good to use goodies from my stash and little bits and pieces, that I have had for ever.

The colours on this collection are just gorgeous.

I had some rub-ons that I really wanted to use too, but they just would not rub off.
So I just cut them up and used them as stickers.

On this page I added a little envelope and wrote them a little message.

I actually gave this album to my Mom as a Mother's Day gift and she was really delighted with it.
I was soooo pleased! ;-)

So thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
I hope to have the internet line restored soon.  Hopefully Telkom will assist with that ;-)

Have a super day!

Make Today Count - Art Journal Page

Hello Everyone

Today I have an art journal page to share with you.

I had an idea to create a botanical scrapbook patterned type paper from stamps and stencils.
I really had to much fun with this page.

Here it is.

I used the Tim Holtz Wildflowers stamp set and Going Somewhere stamp set.
This created the background. Then I used a hydrangea stencil and modelling paste.
I used distress inks to colour the stencilling.  I added paints for the centres.

Here are some close-ups.

The stencil was from a UK magazine, Simply Cards & papercraft.
It's just super! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate your love and comments!
Have a super day!

Love Mixed Media Layout - BoBunny Faith Collection

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are well and that this week has been kind to you! ;-)

I have a layout to share with you, using the gorgeous Faith Collection from BoBunny.
It's such a gorgeous collection.

I created this page and also entered it into a sketch competition for the last Scrap Affairs.

Here's the page.

This page is probably a little different from my normal style...but I still love it and I love how it turned out.

I used a BoBunny stencil and distress inks for the background, along with a gorgeous BoBunny stamp.  I love that dandelion stamp! ;-)

This photo is of my sister and her daughter, who is now 16.
They seem to be clashing heads quite a bit lately.  I guess it's because of the teenage hormones etc. LOL.  Anyways, this page is for them, to remember these key things.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Get Well Soon Cards - ScrapBerry's Words Live Forever Collection

Hello Everyone

The May/June Challenge is up on the ScrapBerry's blog here.
This challenge is about family and can include Mothers and Fathers Day.

I made some masculine Get Well Soon cards for 3 of my work colleagues that are sick.
We spend most of the hours in a day with our work colleagues and some of them really do become like family.

Here are the cards.

The Words Live Forever collection is perfect for masculine and vintage projects.

It would be awesome if you could play along!
So pop along to the blog for the details.

Have a stunning day!

Art Journal Page - Design Worx stencils& Graphic45

Hello Everyone

I have an art journal page to share with you today.
I used 2 Design Worx stencils on this page and really loved using them.

I used the stencils for the background, along with some acrylic paint and modeling paste.

I coloured it with distress inks and added water drops for a watercolour effect.

I then added stamping and some fussy cut elements from Graphic 45.

Here's a closer look.

I added some white highlights with a white gel pen and also with some white gesso.

One of my favourite colours is definitely green, so I really love using it and love the richness it adds to this page.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
Have a gorgeous day!

Wishing you Well Card - BoBunny Winter Wishes

Hello Everyone

It has been a fabulous long weekend and I am rather sad that tomorrow it is work again! LOL
Anyways...I am still enjoying it while it lasts! ;-)

A friend at work asked me to make a card for another friend that is leaving her church, to go off and pursue her music career.
So I used the BoBunny Winter Wishes collection, as there are some muscial elements in it.

Here is the card.

I used some old music paper as the background too.

I used a gorgeous Design Worx chippie too and some old twine.

Thanks ever so much for popping round to my blog! ;-)
I really appreciate the visits!

Have a fabulous day!
