This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

I had so much fun making these coins and would love you to join along with us, to see what we created and what we coined! ;-)

I used the C109 Moment in Time Collection and then added some Zen Doodling, which is my newest arty craze! ;-)

I used some gorgeous die-cuts on the first coin, along with some stamping and then added the doodling.

On the second one I also added a pretty die-cut and then did the doodling inbetween and added some pearlescent dots.

On the last coin, I again added a locket die-cut and then did some doodling around and on the die-cut itself and wrote the word Create.

Farewell/Retirement Card - Penelope Dee Rustique & Travel Notes

Hello Everyone

Penelope Dee really have had some great collections and I am still enjoying Rustique and Travel Notes.

I had to create a card for a colleague at work, who is retiring at the end of the month and so used these 2 collections to make a card, but also a little book of memories, all in one.

I went for the vintage look! ;-)

All the little flowers are handmade.

Here's a little look at the inside, that has quite a few pages for messages and signing.

I included some little messages etc.

Below you can see all the various pages and bits.

Lastly, just a pic of one of the little notes again.

I really hope it will be special and meaningful for Marianne.
I know that this is one of my favourite projects to date! ;-)

Wishing you a fabulous and enjoyable day!
Thanks for the visit.
Cheers for now.

Fabulous Life - Mixed Media Canvas - FabScraps Pink Lemonade

Hello Everyone

I have a mixed media canvas to share with you..
FABulous life, uisng FABulicious FABScraps! LOL

I did loads of fussy cutting for this project. I definitely wanted to use all the gorgeous blooms and leaves on the patterned papers.

I had a lot of fun with the background too, using various mediums, paints etc.

I did a step by step tutorial for this canvas, to show you how I created it..

For This Project You Will Need:
·         FabScraps Pink Lemonade Collection paper range: C108 005
·         FabScraps Stencil: DS096
·         FabScraps Chipboard: DC78 008
·         Tim Holt Stencil: Crocodile THS022
·         Canvas Board 21cmx25cm
·         Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink: Peacock Feather, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick
·         Tim Holtz Distress Stain: Bundled Sage, Pine Needles, Pumice Stone, Broken China
·         Dina Wakeley Media Acrylic Paint: Evergreen
·         Paperartsy Infusions – Golden Sands
·         Wild Plum Dimensional Pearls
·         White Gesso
·         Pentart 3D Powder
·         Small pink and purple flowers
·         Nuvo Mousse Cornflower Blue
·         Nuvo Purple Organza Glitter

Instructions:
1.       Using the Nuvo mousse and spatula and FabScraps stencil, stencil 4 leaves from the bottom of the canvas upwards and outwards. Allow this to dry.
2.       Using the gesso and a spatula and the Tim Holtz stencil, stencil the crocodile patterning, in and around the nuvo mousse stencilling. Before this dries, sprinkle Pentart 3D powder over the stencilling.  Allow it all to dry.
3.       Spritz the canvas with water and add the various distress stains and green acrylic paint randomly over the stencilling. Add some Golden Sands Infusions on the edges too. Keep spritzing water to get the colours to run and mix. Once dry, add a few watered-down splatters of the wild plum dimensional pearls.
4.       Colour the Fabscraps elephant ear chipboard pieces with the green acrylic paint.  Once dry, add some white gesso highlights.
5.       Fussy cut lots of leafy bits, small flowers and birds from the patterned paper and ink all the edges.
6.       Fussy cut the title from the patterned paper and ink the edge with Peacock Feathers.
7.       Create and layer the central focal point cluster with the chipboard leaves, fussy cut leaves and flowers, pink and purple flowers and birds, as per the photo.
8.       Add some purple organza glitter to the purple flower centres.
9.       Use a paintbrush and water down some gesso.  Use the paintbrush to gently add some white splatters all over the canvas.
10.    Lastly layer and add the title.
11.    All Done!

You are Beautiful Mini Album - Penelope Dee Meadow Collection

Hello Everyone

It's a Saturday morning and I am looking forward to a day of relaxation and time spent with family later! ;-)

My sister and her girls have been through a difficult few months and I wanted to give them a little something to encourage them and just keep them grounded in faith and belief.
So I created this little mini album, with the gorgeous Penelope Dee Meadow Collection.

I altered a little advertising booklet, which I received in the post and it became the mini album.

This collection had gorgeous stamps along with super wording on the patterned papers.

It really didn't take me that long and took just a few hours over a weekend.
It is simple but a gift from the heart.

Thanks so much for coming to have a look! ;-)
I really appreciate the visit.

Have a fabulous day!

I went for a boy, grungy look and he was very happy with the result! ;-)
I used bits and pieces from various Penelope Dee collections.

I added heaps of texture and lots of Paperartsy Infusions.

I also added an 11 and stamped the sentiments.

Here is also a photo of the boy, on his day.

Crazy kids!!! ;-)

Thanks so much for the visit!
Wishing you a super day!

Womans Day Tags - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

In August, here in SA, it was Woman's Month and 09 August was Woman's Day, a Public Holiday.
I was asked to make some cards for the women in our IT department and ended up making tags.
I made 54 in total! Phew...it was quite a job, but admittedly, I did love every moment! ;-)

I used Graphic 45 collections, as they were perfect for this theme and I really wanted to use bits and bobs from my stash.

Apologies, the photo's are not so great and were taken in a bit of a hurry, on the morning they were due! ;-)

I won't bore you with all 54 tags, but here are some of the tags I made, to give you an idea.

Each tag also had a little message behind them, just to encourage and thank each woman for their contribution.

It was a lovely idea and everyone was pleased with their tag.

Thanks to you for popping in again today! ;-)
I really appreciate the visit and your love! ;-)

Have a fabulous day!

Adventure Mixed Media Layout - BoBunny Jungle Life Collection

Hello Everyone

I am back today, with another Jungle Life layout.

Jungle Life_Mixed Media Layout_Denise_05 Aug_01

I used black gesso and a stencil for the background, along with some stamps and infusions.  Since this page is masculine, I went for a grungy and rustic look, which suited this theme perfectly.
Jungle Life_Mixed Media Layout_Denise_05 Aug_02

I used little bits and pieces from the noteworthy pack and the gorgeous new stamps.
Jungle Life_Mixed Media Layout_Denise_05 Aug_03

The title was also from the notworthy pack and I outlined it with a white gel pen, so that it stood out a little and did not get lost in the background.
Jungle Life_Mixed Media Layout_Denise_05 Aug_04

I added the infusions to create the rustic and grungy look and then lastly added some white gesso splashes to bring everything together.

This photo was taken in December on RedHill Farm, Limpopo and it was my son's turn to open the gate to the game section, so that we could ride through in the Landrover, to go and game watch and take photo's. The little tab on the photo says "Quick Josie" as we were telling him to hurry up and get the gate closed, as we were getting fairly close to the game and he had to make haste and get the closed, as well as up onto the Landy!

Thanks so much for popping by my blog today! ;-)

Have a super day!
