This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Under An African Sun - Scrap Africa Challenge

Hi Everyone

It's the most beautiful, sunny African day and is really apt for this post today. There is a new Scrap Africa Challenge blog and their current challenge is an Africa/African one. This was quite challenging as I wanted to do a double page layout to have enough space for photo's as well as African things. In any case, this is the result.

I really wanted to incorporate Africa as well as it's many attractions. The plants are Aloe's and the big tree is a Boabab tree, which are truly African plants. I also wanted to have the map of Africa on the layout and so that was my first step to create the outline of Africa, with a" made" stencil and Dazzles spray ink.

Here are some close ups, which also allow you to see the textured paper used.

There is nothing quite like the African Sun or the African bush and this layout just reminded me of the amazing place I live in, and the amazing animals and plant life that we have. I surely have an African heart.

Thanks for stopping by today and having a peek.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon.
