This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Adorable - Bo Bunny June Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone

As I promised, there are 2 posts today and the second one is a Bo Bunny sketch challenge.
This was another great sketch and one I really enjoyed playing with.

So here is the sketch given:

And here is my version of it.

These pictures were taken on Sunday and so I did not waste any time scrapping them! ;-)  This is my new little neice - Morgan and her Mom - Ilse. It has been quite a while since I have scrapped babies! I just love the Country Garden collection though and thought it was just perfect for a little baby girl.

Here are 2 close-ups below.

Thanks, again, for stopping by.
You are really always welcome at my little patch, and hope to see you back soon!
Have a great evening!

Munchkin - Scrap Africa Sketch #6

Hi Everyone

I am so excited to have two posts for today and the first is a challenge at Scrap Africa.
This is the great sketch that they put up for the challenge.

I decided to really try something different and this was my interpretation.

I had gone through my photo's this week, cleaning up and deleting off duds, and in the process found a few gems that I had not scrapped before.  This was one of them and knew I just had to scrap this "wild child".

I wanted a very clean and simple look and love the way that it turned out.  I kept wanting to add more, but then always came back to the "less is more" theory! ;-)

Here is a close-up below.

Thanks for having a look in today...
Take care

Sweet - Prima BAP June Challenge

Hi Everyone

Greetings from a very chilly Johannesburg today! It is the perfect day to just hibernate in my scrap-room and get some creating done!

I have a Prima layout to share with you today, for the June BAP challenge.  Here is the sketch that was provided.

BAPHeidi

I created my layout with the gorgeous Meadow Lark collection.

I did quite a lot of fussy cutting and think it was well worth the effort.
Here are some more close-ups.

Thanks so much for visiting today.
Have a blessed day!

Child of my Heart - Scrap Africa - Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone

I have been so priviledged to be the guest designer at Scrap Africa for their Colour Combo Challenge this week and just love the challenge that they provided.

The challenge was to use at least 3 colours from the South African flag.
So here is the layout that I created.

This was such a different kinda style for me, but I think the result was really nice.  I really only used cardstock and used 2 little bits of October Afternoon patterned papers for the corners.  I used MME cut outs and Making Memories rub-ons, 7 Gypsies stickers and Echo Park stickers.

The white patterned dots were painted onto the black cardstock and then I added some buttons for effect.

Here are some more close-ups.

These are 2 of my favourite pictures of my son...and this title rings absolutely true..Child of my Heart!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.

This Moment - Challenge 138 at Let's Scrap

Hi Everyone

Happy Fathers Day to all your Dad's and hubbies...I hope they had a super day!
We had a lovely family day together, all cuddled up inside around the fire...a lovely day to just chill and spend some quality time together.

I want to share my challenge at Let's Scrap this week. Challenge 138
My 3 point challenge is to use black cardstock, do some fussy cutting and also use chipboard elements.
So here is my layout for this challenge.

I fussy cut the trellis from Teresa Collins patterned paper! I can honestly tell you that it was a mission and a half, but I am so thrilled with the end result! I don't think I will attempt it again, but it certainly was worth the effort.

All the papers used were Teresa Collins from the Fabrications Collection.  The chipboard leaves and flower spray is Design Worx and the title chipboard is Prima and my journalling tag is Websters Pages. The swirl type leaves are Basil Basics and really love these as they are so versatile!

Here are 2 close-ups.

Thanks for popping in..
I really do appreciate it.
Enjoy your evening.

A Day to remember - Let's Scrap Sketch 6-13-12

Hi Everyone

Let's Scrap has released a new sketch today and is really quite a fun one.
Here is the sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I did a one page layout.

I love doing clean and simple layouts for my boy, because I think that is also the style that depicts him so well! This was taken last year on his 4th birthday.

I really want to scrap and have lots of photo's of him growing up, because as the time is flying, he will one day be looking at these and going wow...I was just a kid!!

Here are 2 close ups.

I used Basic Grey Life of the Party papers and accents and the number round is 7 Gypsies.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have had a great day!

Keep Calm and Take Time out to smell the Roses - Scrap Africa / MME Challenge

Hi Everyone

A whole week has passed since my last post! Believe me, it is not that I have not been scrapping or keeping myself busy, just that I am busy with projects that I cannot share right at the moment.
It is a very chilly day in Johannesburg and is perfect for sitting at my scrapping table and getting some creativity down on paper...

I do have a project that I can share with you, and is one I did for the Scrap Africa Challenge and also for MME June Challenge.

The Scrap Africa challenge was to do a layout with the title Keep Calm and ....... and the MME challenge was to do some fussy cutting...so I did a combination for both.

Here is my layout.

I used My Minds Eye Follow Your Heart papers and chipboards and the alpha lettering was Prima.

I had these pictures of Joe for a long time and really wanted to use them, and this layout was just perfect.

Here are some close-ups. In the last photo, Joe looks like he is pulling up his nose at the smell of the rose, but it was actually him pulling away because the rose petals had tickled his nose.
I actually love this rose and is one of the treasured one's in my garden.  It is always beautiful and it smells so fragrant too!

Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you are having a restful weekend...

My Son - Once Upon a Sketch

Hello Again

I am very early this month with my Once Upon a Sketch challenge layout, but I really was inspired to create this layout, especially since I had wanted to scrap this photo for a while! I had used it before for a layout which I gave to my Mom, but I had not scrapped it for myself.

So here is the sketch.

Here is my offering. The picture of a little boy, with such a serious face on his birthday!

I used Echo Park This and That papers and Design Worx chipbaord pieces and Bazill basics paper pieces. I did some background stamping using a Kaisercraft stamp and a Martha Stewart punch for the punched border. The number round is 7 Gypsies.

Here are some close ups.

Time passes so quickly and I can't believe that my son is almost 5.  I remember fondly this birthday and the sweet innocence that went with it. I think this photo just captures that completely.

Thanks for looking in..
Have an awesome day!

Let's Scrap - 5-30-12

Hello Everyone

I hope you are all having a good weekend and are getting some rest and relaxation.

Today I am posting a layout I did for the Let's Scrap 5-30-12 sketch.  I just love this layout and the way it turned out. I am such a sucker for boy pages.

I used Kaisecraft papers and rub-ons from the Little Toot collection.

Here are the individual pages.

Circles can add such a nice feature to pages.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a great afternoon.
