This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Sharon - Berry71Bleu May Challenge/ BoBunny Beautiful Dreamer

Hello Everyone

Apologies for my blog having been so quiet this past week.
My sister had a huge health scare over the last 2 weeks and it meant that I had to just help out a little and do a few extra things...so in between work and family, creating came last.

Thankfully my sister is okay and I am so relieved and this page I created is to celebrate this fact.

This page is for the Berry71Bleu challenge this month.

Check out this gorgeous mood board.

Here is my page.

I used the gorgeous Beautiful Dreamer collection from BoBunny, along with some BoBunny stickable stencils, stamps and more! ;-)

Here's a close-up.

I used a lovely photo of my sister that was taken in a photo shoot about a year ago.  It's just a lovely and soft photo of her.

These past 2 weeks were really emotional and it was always our biggest hope and belief that she would be okay.  So yes, I wanted to add this little part to the page.

I love the softness that I was able to put into this page.

Anyways, there is still some time to play along with the Berry71Bleu mood board this month.
Why not pop over and have a look at the inspiration.

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Dad - Prima BAP

Hello Everyone

I hope that you had a good weekend! ;-)
We had a really chilly and wet weekend in Johannesburg and so it was a good opportunity to get some scrappy time in.

I haven't been able to play along with the Prima challenges for months and so thought it was a good time to try and play along.

Here's the sketch.

2016 may bap

I recently got hold of the Vintage Emporium collection and I knew that it would be perfect for a vintage, masculine page.  So here's the result.

I loved playing with the background textures, stamping etc. and I am really happy with the result.

I kept the flowers to a minimum, since being a masculine page and don't think they make it too flowery.

I love the rusty, orange colouring in this paper and really wanted to bring it out more.

I even used some older bits of Prime pieces and was pleased that I was able to use from my stash.

This handsome man is my father.  He was probably around 20 here and he sure was very handsome and suave.  He is still handsome and at 70 plus years old, he is still amazing! ;-)

It has been ages since I last did a layout and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed creating this page.
I actually can't wait to get started on the next one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate your visits!

Birthday Card - BoBunny Believe Collection

Hello Everyone

I have a Birthday Card to share with you.
I used the Believe Collection, along with some odd BoBunny alpha's that I have had for a long time.

Here's the fun card I created.

I first stuck down the alpha's and then used a stickable stencil with some pigment ink to create the purple circles.

I used a black fine liner to outline some of the elements and also allow them to stand out.

I think this design was a super way to use up odd alpha's and also add interest to the background.

Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a super evening!

Mothers Day Card and Gift Bottle - BoBunny Butterfly Kisses

Hello Everyone

I hope that you all had a fabulous Mothers Day yesterday! ;-)
We had a lovely lunch for my Mom and Aunt and it really was a lovely day to be a Mom too! ;-)

I made a card and a gift for my Mom, using the new BoBunny Butterfly Kisses Collection.
It really is one gorgeous collection.

Here's the card I made.

I did some mixed media effects, along with lots of stamping and fussy cutting.

Here's a closer look.

I also altered a bottle as a gift.

I firstly used some alcohol inks to add some colour to the bottle.

Then I did some fussy cutting and added little clusters all around the bottle.

I filled it with some chocolate raisin Tumbles that my Mom likes and then also gave her a scarf.
She was very happy with her gifts! ;-)

Well I hope you had a super Monday! ;-)
Thanks for stopping by!

Follow Your Heart Canvas - BoBunny Soiree Collection

Hello Everyone

I created a mixed media canvas, using the Soiree Collection, as well as the Soiree Decoupage Paper.

I covered the canvas with the decoupage paper and thick gel medium. I allowed for some folds etc. as I did not want a smooth finish. I then used the fabulous new BoBunny crackle paste and did some stencilling.  I then added some paints, some inks and lots of stamping.

Lastly, here is a view of the flower cluster.

I love this sentiment, so "me" right now...LOL
I am trying to do exactly that! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Thanks so much for your love and comments!
I hope you have an amazing day!

Mini Album - Home Sweet Home - Graphic 45 - Part 2

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing Part 2 of my mini album/recipe book, which I made for my sister for Mothers Day on Sunday.

Yesterday I shared the cover and the first half of the album, so today I will share the rest of the pages.

I did not add too many elements that would make this little album bulky, as this type of album did not allow for  it.

Aren't those tomatoes just so pretty and fresh! ;-)

I love being able to fussy cut elements, especially when they are so pretty. They add flavour and taste to a project, without the bulk! LOL

Lastly, here is the outside cover.

I really hope that my sister likes it.

So have you made anything for Mother's Day?

I am busy with some Mothers Day cards too, so I will share those soon.

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you have a super day!

Mini Album - Home Sweet Home - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

Mother's Day is coming up soon here, it's next Sunday.
So I wanted to make something special for my sister.
She loves cooking and is a real "home bird" so hopefully she will like this mini album, come recipe book.

There's quite a lot of photo's etc. so think I will probably split it over 2 posts.

Okay, so here's the cover.

The pretty, red flower type elements are actually red cabbages! I thought they were so pretty that one could certainly use them as flowers! ;-)

I did some mixed media effects, which I carried through the entire album, just to be consistent with my theme. I used a really pretty Prima stencil, throughout this album.

Below is the first page.

I also did some fussy cutting! ;-) I mean, what would a Denise project be without some fussy cutting!!

I went for some rustic, water colour outlining on the pages, which I think adds nicely to this theme.

This Home Sweet Home Collection is so perfectly homely and cottagey! ;-)

Well that's exactly half way through the album, so tomorrow I will share the other half.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you have a great Tuesday! ;-)

Advice from the Ocean Card - BoBunny Beach Therapy

Hello Everyone

I have a mixed media card to share with you today, using the gorgeous BoBunny Beach Therapy Collection.

I love this little "Advice" Poem and really wanted to use it.

I did some fussy cutting and just love those little red flowers.

I could surely use some Beach Therapy at the moment...what I would give to sit beside the ocean and hear the waves crashing on the shore!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a super, scrappy day!

Scrap Africa Sketch no.74 - Journal Page - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

Sorry for not posting for a couple of days.  I took a few days off work and so I have been relaxing and chilling at home, creating and pottering, but no posting! ;-)

So yes, in the background, I have surely been creating and today I have a journal page to share for the new Scrap Africa sketch challenge! ;-)
Just to mention, our challenges are now monthly and so you have a whole month to play along! ;-)

So here's the journal page that I created.

I used some Graphic 45 French Country papers and goodies! These are still some of my favourite papers! ;-)

I did some water colouring, some embossing, some stamping and fussy cutting! All the things I love to do! ;-)

The sentiment is one of my favourites too and is definitely my theme for my life at the moment.

"Always find time for the things that make you happy to feel alive"

I cut all the circles using the

Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Circles

Maybe also check out the super new Stencilling with Sizzix.
There really are some super ideas! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you have a happy and creative Sunday!
