Vintage Tag - Graphic 45/ Sizzix

I have a new vintage tag to share with you today.

I have really been making an effort to use goodies from my stash and so all the goodies on this tag, is from my stash.

I love the muted colours on this tag.

I used bits and pieces of Graphic 45, along with stamps and inks.

I once, again, also used the fabulous Sizzix Die-Set

Vintage Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

Today I have a vintage tag to share with you.

I really had soooo much fun with my inks and stamps and of course, some gorgeous Graphic 45 pieces, that are from some of my earliest scrappy stash.

So here it is.

I used a lot of BoBunny stamps and distress inks on the background.

These butterflies were just fabulous and so just had to be fussy cut! ;-)

Mixed Media Tag - Sizzix / Craft Stamper August Take it Make it Challenge

Hello Everyone

I am still "tagging" you with lots of tags and so I have another one to share with you today.

I am also entering this for the Craft Stamper August Take it Make it Challenge

Here's my tag.

I used Distress inks, stamps, a Tim Holtz stencil and a Sizzix embossing folder to create the background.

Believe it or not, I used the Sizzix embossing folder to create the swirly patterns on the background.

I used the first border embossing folder in this set, inked it up and used it as a stamp on the tag.
Here's a close-up.

The stamped flowers are a free stamp from a previous Craft Stamper magazine.

I used watercolour pencils to colour them. I then cut a few layers and layered them up for dimension.

I had a lot of fun creating this tag and I am really happy with the result too! ;-)

Thinking of You - Mixed Media Tag - BoBunny Stamps

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are having a really good weekend and also finding some time to create.

I finished off another circle tag. I really do love the colours on this one.

Have a look.

I used a Celebr8 stencil and black gesso for the background, along with some Pumice Stone Distress ink.

The flowers and leaves are BoBunny stamps and I coloured these with watercolour pencils and then lastly added some black beads for the centres.

Here's a closer look.

You know, it's really great if one has Alcohol markers and Distress ink markers...but watercolour pencils work just as well and really don't cost a bomb at all.

If you have some of these packed away somewhere, get them out and get using them! ;-)

Mixed Media Tag - BoBunny Butterfly Kisses

Hello Everyone

I am sharing a mixed media tag for the BoBunny DT call that I still have not shared, using the gorgeous Butterfly Kisses Collection.

I made this tag using some BoBunny packing, which I really thought was such a neat idea and a great way of recycling it.  So the backing to this tag is actually the packaging.  I distressed and then inked the edges.

I fussy cut the leaves, the berries and some of the flower bits, which actually meant that I did not need so many embelishments, as these were embelishments on their own.

I used some stickable stencils and crackle paste to also create interest and layers on this tag.

Mixed Media Tag - Penelope Dee/ Distress Inks

Hello Everyone

I have still been having fun experimenting with inks etc. etc.

So I have made yet another tag! LOL

Here it is.

I used the new Penelope Dee poppy stamp.  It really is so pretty, along with a paper die-cut, which I used as a stencil for the background and some distress ink.

Here's some close-ups.

I used some BoBunny pearlescent Licorice for the poppy middles.

I love how it turned out! ;-)

I am mostly over my cold and flu now.  It's still lingering a bit but I am feeling heaps better.

Flowers are the music of the Earth - Mixed Media Tag - Sizzix

Hello Everyone

I am really "tagging" you at the moment, with all my tag posts...

but I am really so enjoying creating them and experimenting at the same time.

So here's my latest creation...

I used some daisy stamps that I just love. These I stamped and then coloured with watercolour pencils, water and a paintbrush.  These were then fussy cut.

I used an Enmarc stencil for the background and some clear crackle paste.  I then coloured with Distress Inks, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold.

The sentiment is a Penny Dee stamp and the butterflies a Graphic 45/Hampton Art stamp.

I once, again, also used the fabulous Sizzix Die-Set

Mixed Media Circle Tag

Hello Everyone

Just a really quick post from me today, as I am still on the flu recovery path!!

I have been having some fun with tags over the last few days and so I have a new one to share with you.

It's a circle tag.

I used a Prima stencil and clear crackle for the background.  I then did watercolour effects with water and Distress Stan - Bundled Sage. I lastly outlined the stencilling with a brown fine liner.

It's a general tag and should I want to add a sentiment later, I can still do that.

Mixed Media Tag - Sizzix/BoBunny

Hello Everyone

In my last post I told you that the family had been unwell with flu and that I had been under the weather too.  Well it bowled me over good and solid and so for 2 days I was in bed.

Thankfully, I am now on the mend and feeling a little better.

I had finished a mixed media tag that I wanted to share today.

I have been trying different techniques and things and so this was one of my experiments.  LOL

Here are my steps for the background:

1. I started off with a stencil and some Prima Copper Crackle Paste.

2. Then I used some Distress stain - Bundled Sage for the colouring.

3. I stamped the 3 black butterflies.

4. I wiped off the excess ink on the copper crackle.

5. I added some white paint highlights on the stencilling.

I fussy cut some sunflowers and bits from the BoBunny Enchanted Harvest Collection.

I also cut some leafy buts from my favourite Sizzix die set at the moment. I used BoBunny cardstock - chiffon vintage.

Friends Forever - Mixed Media Canvas - Funky Flair Challenge

Hello Everyone

I  can't believe it's almost a week since I last posted!! Yikes!

The family has been sick with flu and for the last 3 days I have been rather under the weather too, so unfortunately I did not create much and I did not post anything either.

I have been busy with a canvas for a few days now, which just seemed to take forever, but it's now finally finished! ;-)

I had been over to Lizzy Hill's blog and had been inspired to play along with the

FUNKY FLAIR, the Facebook challenge

Here is the gorgeous mood board.

...and here is my take.

I used BoBunny Crackle paste to create the background, along with some Distress paints and sprays.

I used some Creative Embelishments Chipboard, along with some gorgeous, new leaf dies that I received from Sizzix and some Little Birdie blooms.

I used an older 7 Gypsies stamp for the title of this canvas.  It will be a gift for a friend of mine! ;-)

Mixed Media Tag - Scrap Africa Mood Board no.77

Hello Everyone

I went for a very artsy tag with this mood board.

I really just wanted to try something very different.

So here is my inky result! ;-)

I used a Tim Holtz, Penny Black Inc. and Penelope Dee stamp, along with some Distress Inks and water. It was very good fun.

I did a lot of fussy cutting, colouring and then some more fussy cutting.

There was a lot of time and effort spent on this tag, but I was really pleased with the result.
