This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Live, Love, Life Tag - Penelope Dee Captured Collection

Hello Everyone

I am back again today with a general tag, using the gorgeous Penelope Dee Captured collection.

I did some watercolour effects on the background, which really just made this tag pop.

I also used the fabulous Colour Me flowers, which can be coloured any colour you require!

I hope you will find some scrappy time this weekend...
Wishing you a restful and good Saturday!
Cheers for now!

Hello Mixed Media Tag

Hello Everyone

I am soooo pleased that it is Friday! ;-)
Roll on weekend! ;-)

Today I am sharing a tag that I made a while back already, but just have not been able to share yet.

I used the paint resist technique on the background, with distress paint and distress ink.

I then added my chippie, which had been coloured and a clear crackle applied over.

The little white flowers are handmade and a gold ball added to their centres.
I am so pleased with these little flowers...they take time and effort, but are well worth it.

I so love making tags and they always come in so handy! ;-)

Have a fabulous Friday and blessings to you all over Thanksgiving! ;-)
Lots of Love to you all!

Wild and Free - Mixed Media Canvas - Penelope Dee Feathered Collection

Hello Everyone

I am so thankful that my sons exams finished and so we are really now into the last 2 weeks of school. It almost feels like we are on holiday already! ;-)

I have a mixed media canvas to share with you today.  Again, I was playing with the pretty and gorgeous Feathered collection from Penelope Dee.

This photo was taken 2 years back at my in-laws in Mpumalanga.
These little Kingfishers came and sat on their washing line.
There were soooo cute! ;-)

I created a fairly simple background with a Penelope Dee stencil and then added colour with a Prima spray and distress oxides.
I also added some pen lines for more definition.

Of course, I also had to add lots of fussy cut elements too, including the title! ;-)

I love the soft colours in this collection! ;-)

Well I hope you are finding time to create, before the silly season really sets in!

Have a fabulous day!

Sparkle - Mixed Media Layout - Penelope Dee Feathered

Hello Everyone

Happy Friday to you! ;-)
I am back with another mixed media layout today, using the Penelope Dee Feathered Collection.

I love this photo of my sister and I.  It was taken in February and it was at her husbands 50th Birthday party.  We sure did have a blast.

I fussy cut a number of elements, but also used a stencil and gesso on the background.

I used a purple pen to outline the stencilling and it really added so much to it.

I also used a piece of lace that I have had for ages and added some enamel dots to it.

I sure love the succulent blooms and bits on this collection and again they were perfect to fussy cut.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate your visits and comments!

Have a fabulous Friday!

Smile - Mixed Media Layout - Kaisercraft Golden Grove Collection

Hello Everyone

Today I have a sunny and bright layout to share with you.
I used the beautiful Golden Grove collection.

I started off with a white cardstock background and then used my distress oxides to colour it.
It came out pretty alright, I reckon! ;-)

I kept the chipboard clean and this was perfect for the page colouring.

I did a fair amount of fussy cutting too.  Those blooms and leaves are just fabulous.

I used a Tim Holtz stamp for the edges...which I really just loved too.

This photo is of my niece! It was taken at her fathers 50th Birthday party.
We had such a blast and I love this happy and smiley photo of hers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a tremendous Thursday.

Cheers for now.

Thank You Tag & Earth Laughs Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

Today I have some general tags to share with you.
I used up some of my Graphic 45 bits and pieces... I am such a hoarder and throw nothing away! ;-)

Here's the first of the 2 tags.

I did some white stamp embossing on the background and then coloured it with distress oxides.
I added a chipboard piece and some fussy cut elements.

I so love the earthy colours of this one.

My second tag is upcycled Graphic 45 packaging.

I so love these pretty papers, they have fabulous elements that can be fussy cut.

These tags did not make use of many papers and products and yet, once layered, they are pretty cool!
I think, in anycase! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope I tagged you to make a few tags with your bits and pieces! ;-)

Have a fabulous day!

Altered Box - Masculine

Hello Everyone

Apologies that my posts are a bit erratic, but it's that time of the year that our kids are writing exams and my husband has been away in the States for more than a week already.
So yes, life has been a little hectic.

My brothers birthday is in a 2 weeks time and my parents were going to visit him.
So I wanted to send something along with them.
This is what I sent.

I really had so much fun with this lid, where I used all sorts of powders and paints to get this old and rusty effect. I really do love all the rust Pentart products that makes it so easy.

I used some Graphic 45 bits and pieces for the inside and outside as well.

I used some Graphic 45 bits and pieces for the inside and outside as well.

Sadly I was in such a rush to photograph and pack this box that I didn't take any photo's of the inside.
LOL....I will leave that up to the imagination.

In anycase, I really hope my boet likes it.
I am sure he can put all sorts of knicky knack stuff inside.

Okay lovely people, I hope you are all well!
Wishing you a fabulous Monday!

I used the BoBunny Christmas Carousel collection! I do love it so.
