Hi Everyone

Just re-posting this layout on my own blog, after being posted as the Guest Designer on Scrap Africa.

For this layout I used FabScraps papers from the Heritage range and a chip-board border.

I did a lot of distressing on the various layers of papers and used alcohol inks and pigment inks to create this effect. I wanted to give the layout lots of depth and so also the reason for the layering.

The Fabscraps border was also distressed and painted with blue, brown and white craft paint.

Birthday Card

Hi Everyone

I had to make a Birthday card for my brother-in law, as it is his birthday tomorrow.
Here is the card.

I had made this flower from a Gabrielle Polloco tutorial here and am so pleased that I it looks so gorgeous.
I know it's a "mans" card, but think the colouring and the button allow for it!

Scrap Africa - Sketch #2 - A Boy and his Dog

Hi Everyone

Thank goodness for Friday's! This is definitely the best day of the week!

Last night I sat and did a layout for this challenge and wanted to show you.
Here is the sketch and then below that is my version.

I used Glitz Basics Paper, Upikit Paper and Echo Park alpha stickers. I did a double border using a Martha Stewart punch and then did some flick painting with Smooch spray ink.

The theme for me is such a precious one, since my son Joe and his dog Rosie are such good buddies.  The journalling kinda says it all! These two are inseparable!

Berry 71 Bleu - Feb Challenge

Hi Everyone

February is definitely the month of love! It has been an awesome month for me and I am truly blessed!
I hope your month has also been filled with much love and many blessings.

Berry Bleu's Feb challenge was one of love. I created a card and here it is.

On my previous layout I had used some feathers and they just looked so good that I decided to also use them on this card.  It just softens it up! I also used Prima Romantique and Botanical papers, Making Memory Love Struck chipboards.

Ma (Mom) - Prima Challenge

Hi Everyone

What a Monday?! I am so glad that the working day is over and I finally managed to struggle home in the traffic and have eventually found my way to this post! Shew...it was a looong day!

Anyways, today I have a layout that I have created for a Prima challenge, but is also a little different, as is also a layout that I have made for a friend. Her Mom passed away last week and so I thought I would do a layout and give it to her as a gift. I hope she will be pleased.

Here was the sketch:

And here is my offering:

I used Prima Printery, Botanical papers and Romantique papers. The rub on is Kaisercraft and stickers are Websters Pages. The chipboard pieces are Design Works, with unknown brand flowers. I also used feathers on the corners to really soften up this layout.

Here are 2 close-ups.

This layout made me remember that I must really not take family for granted and really enjoy the time that we have now! I hope you will do the same!

Little Lady Birthday Card

Hi Everyone

Yesterday was my neice's 11th birthday and she is turning into such a beautiful, young lady.  So I wanted to make a card that was indicative of this and really fit for a young lady. So here is the card I made.

I used Echo Park Victoria Gardens papers and stickers and a Glitz Beautiful Dreamer sticker. The gate I designed and made myself and the heart is Making Memories Love Struck. 

My neice loved the card, so I was really pleased.
