Today - Berry71Bleu November Challenge

Hello Everyone

Sorry for missing a few days, but with year end functions, DT work and family commitments, I just could not get to my blog! ;-) But here I am today and have a page to share!

Berry71Bleu had a fabulous mood board this month.

I created this page.

I created this page for my Mother in Law. It's a photo of her sister, when she was a teenager.

This piece of chipboard is beautiful and I used Weathered Worn distress embossing powder on it.

I also used some Teresa Collins papers from my stash, so was pleased to use them.

Now to tell you the sad story of this page! I literally finished it, had taken these photo's of it and had put it down inside and went outside to bring in my props, camera and other projects.

In the meantime, my parrot Pepsi, got hold of this page and basically destroyed it! You have no idea, how close she came to almost being fried parrot!!!!! I was livid and also really upset!!

My own fault though, I should have known better.

In anycase, I happened to have some more of these papers and have taken the original page apart, to try and rescue some of the bits. The chipboard is damaged, but I think I can sort of tuck it under a few other bits and will be able to still use it.  So will see how page 2 turns out.

I can smile about it today, but on the weekend, it was a teary moment!!

Anyways, we just move on! ;-)

Always and Forever Mixed Media Page - FabScraps Serenity Collection

This photo was taken, somewhere here before Christmas, and Joe was just a few months old.  He was so very precious.

I did some gesso stencilling, water colour effects and some stamping.

Artsy Craftsy Paint Palette

Hello Everyone

I hope that you had a good weekend and also a good Monday.

A scrappy friend wanted to buy the paint palette kit from Colourful Memories and so we both decided to get one. We attempted to do it last week at our scrap and chat evening, but I had left most of my supplies at home, due to being rushed, as my husband was late getting home.  So yes, it really did not turn out anything like the example project, but I am really happy with it, none the less! ;-) Not that I have ever been one for following kit instructions!!!!!! LOL

So here's the end result.

It was really nice to try and do something different for a change! ;-)

...a little bit of gesso, lots of stamping, some chipboard and some blooms! ;-)

I love that stamped sentiment..."Always find time for the things that make you happy to feel alive".
My work life has been very stressful and busy over the last few months and my creativity and scrapping has been my solace, my peace of mind, my sanity and my retreat!! I am so glad to have had that "outlet"! ;-)

Party Decor - BoBunny Boardwalk Collection

I am soooo glad it is Saturday and I can get to a few things that need doing and also lots of creating! ;-) We had some beautiful, soft rains last night and so the garden has also got some refreshment and life again! ;-)

Christmas Cards - BoBunny Dear Santa

Hello Everyone

Are your weeks also as hectic as mine...??? I think the "silly season" has started on my end of the world and there are just so many things to do in a day!! Anyways...it keeps me on my toes and keeps the heart pumping and beating! ;-)

I made some cards for Christmas from the Dear Santa BoBunny Collection.  This is such a fun and cute collection.

I made 2 similar type, mixed media cards.

Crackle paste has also become of my favourite mediums and of course BoBunny stickable stencils are a must! Really love them! ;-)

I had better crack-le on....LOL....hope you are getting to those Christmas cards and handmade goodies.

Card & Tag - Scrap Africa Mood Board no.63

There is a new challenge up at Scrap Africa! ;-) A gorgeous Mood Board! ;-)

I created a card and a tag for this challenge.

I used the beautiful, new Love and Lace collection from BoBunny.

Here's the card.

I upcycled this grid chipboard piece.  My son got a box game as a gift and the little pieces had to be punched out of this grid.  So I used crackle paste, paints and inks to give it a shabby look.

Merry Christmas Tag - Dear Santa BoBunny

Hello Everyone

It's really getting very near December now and that is still a very scary thought for me because I still have so much that I want to do. I did, however, get cracking with lots of DT stuff today, to try and get ahead and I was pleased with the progress! ;-)

I created a Christmas tag from the Dear Santa BoBunny collection.

This is really a super and festive collection.
