This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Friendship Card

Hello Everyone

I am lucky to have a brother in the UK and he often brings me over magazines.
I really have some fabulous one's and they come with some fabulous goodies too.

So I used some of these to make a sunflower, friendship card.
I love the bright and sunny colours.

The embossing folder and the word stamp was from the magazine.
This sunflower stamp is one I have had for quite a while.

I created the background with distress oxide ink and then added some water drops.
Lastly, I embossed the cardstock.
It just adds another layer of interest.

Here's a close-up of this sunny card.

I love that these sorts of cards can be used for any occasion.

Thanks so much for popping by my blog!
I hope you have a super weekend!

Christmas Art Journal Page

Hello Everyone

I am back today with a Merry art journal page.
This time I took some inspiration from Vicky Papaioannou.

Here is the page I created.

I did a lot of stamping on this page and so loved playing with creating all the little bits and pieces that make it up.

I love this Father Christmas he is rather quite the character! ;-)

I stamped and coloured these ornaments.  I used distress inks and acrylic paints to do the colouring.

I love this holly trailing down too....this is definitely one of my new favourite die! ;-)
I have had it for ages, but really do love it now! ;-)
It's good to fall in love with your old goodies! ;-)

Anyways, Christmas is just around the corner. So this was definitely a start to the Christmasy feeling! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Documented - Patina Effect Canvas

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are all well.
We had some beautiful rain again last night, so this morning the air is crisp and clean.

I was inspired by Marta Lapkowska and a patina effect canvas that she created.
So I took the inspiration and created a canvas of my own.

I have some gorgeous Pentart products and so this is mainly what I used.
I will list the products at the end.

I didn't just use paints, I also used some Pentart rust effects.  These added lovely, real rust patches.

I know the shape seems a little odd, but I will hang this up on the wall with a canvas string and then it will be perfect.

This canvas is called Document and it is meant to symbolise the documentation of my sisters life and how she has overcome health issues and has started living her life with energy and such determination.

I love how it turned out.
It took quite a bit of time and quite a few layers, but I am really pleased with it.

To see Marta's inspiration video, please look here:

Pentart Stencil Paste Metallic White Gold
Pentart Antique Wax Paste Brass

Thinking of You - Large Tag

Hello Everyone

Of after 5 weeks of no internet and a telephone line, I am finally back on the air.
I am sooo pleased! It really was becoming rather a hassle.

Anyways, today I have a large tag to share with you.

I used normal distress inks and paints on this tag.

I treated the beautiful chippie to some gesso and all purpose ink.
You'll see the detail here below.

I did big inky splatters, over the stencilled dots and stamping on the background.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous Friday and weekend! ;-)

Cheers for now

General Tag

Hello Everyone

I am on a "tagging" mission again, at the moment and so I hope I don't bore you with another tag today! ;-)

The inspiration for this tag was some really pretty papers from a free insert in a magazine.

So here it is.

I love the lavender chippie too, this was certainly something that I wanted to add and use.

Sometimes I can be a real scrooge when it comes to pretty papers.
I am almost afraid to cut them up and use them. I feel that if I don't do them justice, that it would be an absolute crime! LOL...maybe I am a little crazy!!!! ;-)

Anyways, I hope I do these papers justice! ;-)

Thanks again for stopping by!
Thanks also for "tagging" me again!
Have a super day!

General Tag - Distress Oxides

Hello Everyone

I hope that your week has started off really well.

I was playing with my Distress Oxides again and came up with this little tag.

I also used the oxides to colour the flowers. I love the chalky, soft finish that it gives.

I love the simplicity of this tag.

So what have you created with your Oxides today?

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a terrific Tuesday.

Captured Moments - Penelope Dee Photogenic

Hello Everyone

I am so blessed to be an ambassador for Penelope Dee.
I so love the products and I love that a local manufacturer is producing such quality! ;-)

So I created a mixed media, boy layout with their newest collection, Photogenic.

I did some black gesso stencilling and some stam;ping for the background.

I also used the gorgeous Sizzix Bright Bubbles die-cut.

SIZZIX THINLITS DIE - BRIGHT BUBBLES

Here are some close-ups.

I also had some enamel dots that I have had for ages, which finally found their place and I was so pleased I could use them on this boy page.

This boy is getting so tall and growing so quickly, it is actually scary! ;-)

Today we also had a massive thunderstorm and all I can say is "Thank You Lord" for the beautiful rain. We really were in need of rain and with the rain over the weekend too, the garden and the grass are just flourishing.

I hope you had a lovely Monday!
Thanks so much for popping in, I really do appreciate it so.

Take care for now.

Mixed Media Tag - Distress Oxides

Hello Everyone

My internet and telephone line is still off.  It is going on 4 weeks now.
It is really not funny anymore and I sure hope that this week it will be resolved.

I hope that you have been having a great weekend and that you got some time to create.
I got some great crafty time and have a mixed media tag to share.

I absolutely adore my distress oxides and really loved this spotty background that I created, on some old music paper.  I used Broken China and Wilted Violet.
I also coloured the delicate chipboard piece with Broken China too.

I then added some leaf diecuts and my own handmade flower.
This little layered flower is just the perfeect touch. LOL

Lastly I used a rub-on that I had for ages and gave this general tag a little title.

Have you played with distress oxides?
I promise you they are amazing and you will not be able to put them down! ;-)

I hope you have a super evening!
Cheers for now!

Faux Leather Mini Album - BoBunny Autumn Dreams

Hello Everyone

My internet is still off, but I have quite a bit of data stored up on my phone, so today is the day that I share and post something again! ;-)

Life has been crazy, busy with changes at work, design team projects and classes, but all is good and I am truly blessed.
I hope that everything is well with you too.

I was up on the BoBunny blog recently with a mini faux leather album.
I would really love it if you popped over and had a look.

I so enjoyed making this album and actually made 3.  I will definitely use them as gifts and I also used these as examples for a class I did.

Here is a photo of one of the others I made as well.

I had seen a super article in the Craft Stamper, December 2014 issue.

I scanned the article, so that if you wanted to try it yourself, you could have a read here.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I hope you have found a little inspiration!

Have a fabulous Sunday!
