This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Potion Box - Land Of Wonder - BoBunny

Hello Everyone

It's Halloween tomorrow. Time to get cheeky and fiendish!!! LOL
We really don't celebrate it at all here in SA, but the thought is cool.

I had to create a Halloween themed project for BoBunny and am up on the blog here with it.
I would love it if you popped over and had a look! ;-)

Rustic ATC Coins - Beautifully Brisk BoBunny

Hello Everyone

Thank goodness it is Friday!!
It has been one hectic and crazy week!

I am looking forward to the weekend, with hopefully some rest and recuperation.
I do have a class tomorrow, but after that I plan to chill! ;-)

I recently was up on the BoBunny blog here and was thrilled with these ATC coins that I created.

Here is one of the coins I made and would love it if you popped over and had a look at the others.

I made them rustic, rusty and old. It worked so great with all the earthy autumn tones.

I also created a shaker card, which I had never created before.

Altered Hanger & Embroidery Hoop

Hello Everyone

I recently did a Christmas hanger and embroidery hoop for a class and the class before that was also a hanger and hoop, but with a more general theme.

I have not yet shared these, so today I have the photo's to share.

I love that it is fairly simple, yet pretty. I am going to use this as a home decor piece.

Here is the hanger...

It has 2 sides...

I used chippies and blooms and some crocheted elements.

Again, this is another piece that I will display or perhaps give away.

This is really a great idea for a gift and might even make some more for Christmas gifts.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Christmas Tag - Zen Doodling

Hello Everyone

I have had a great weekend, so far, crafting and creating.
We had had a very cool weekend, with much needed rain and so has been the perfect weather for staying indoors and crafting.

I have a Christmas tag to share with you.

I used lots of layers and also did some zen doodling on the Christmas bauble.

Here is a close-up for the bauble below.

The base of the tag was a cardboard box, which was recycled and used again.

Before you know it, Christmas will be upon us and I really hope that this year I can get all my tags and cards done in good time, so there is no rush at the end!! LOL

Wishing you a fabulous and relaxing Sunday!
Cheers for now.

Altered Embroidery Hoop - Penelope Dee Christmas Royale

Hello Everyone

I gave a class recently, to alter an embroidery hoop and also used bits and pieces from Penelope Dee, Christmas Royale!

There wasn't too much mixed media, but a lot of layering of various bits and pieces.

I also showed the class how to put the Poinsettia flowers together.

We did an altered Christmas hanger too, which I don't have a photo for yet, but will share it when I get the project back.

I can't believe Christmas is weeks away again and that this year has run away with me!!!!
But yes, time waits for nobody! ;-)

Have a fabulous and festive day!

Art Journal Page -

Hello Everyone

I recently bought 2 stamps from our local stationery shop, because they were on special and marked down to half price.
So I couldn't resist and bought 2 of these super stamps from Santoro.

I used the first one to create an art journal page in my re-purposed Enid Blyton reading book.

I prepared the page with a layer of gesso, but just a light one because I still wanted the reading words to show through.

I then stamped the image and coloured it with Distress Markers and then added some pearlescent and some wording from Penelope Dee papers.

Here are some close-ups below.

I really love how this page turned out and even though it is simple, it is one of my favourites, for sure!

I hope you have a super Monday and a super week.
Cheers for now..

Be You Mixed Media Layout - Penelope Dee Meadow Collection

Hello Everyone

I am back today with a layout of my Mom.
These photo's were taken when she was in her 20's.
She is now 81.

I used the pretty, pretty Meadow collection from Penelope Dee.

I did some flower stencilling on the background. I added white highlights and contouring to the stencilling.

This collection really has such fabulous wording. I had to use them, they are just so apt.

I fussy cut bits, as I always do and then also used some die-cut leaves and chippies.
I coloured the chippies with distress oxides.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I really do appreciate your visits.
I will be round your blogs soon for a visit.

Have a fabulous day!

Sorry that my blog has been a little quiet again for about 10 days.
I had a big class inbetween, with lots of preparation, as well as DT projects due all round!
It has been a busy, busy time.

But I do have a Birthday card to share with you today, which I made for my niece.
She turned 15 a few weeks back.
