This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Ted & Dina - BoBunny Star Crossed Collection

Hello Everyone

I had a BoBunny page up here and used the Star-Crossed Collection, which is a stunner.

Here's the page.

I had got some photo albums from my Mom and found this gorgeous photo of my Aunt and Uncle.  They were still so young and were obviously at a dinner or wedding, something celebratory and so I really wanted to scrap this memory.  So I went for a vintage theme.

I didn't do too much to the background, as it already had a layered look to it, with quite a few details. So I just used a stickable stencil and some ink, to create a little interest.

I tore out a little piece of the background paper and then sewed in that little piece of lace....just another little layer of interest! ;-)

I used quite a few of the BoBunny Wood Shapes....they really are fabulous and really are so easy to colour or just be used, as they are!

I hope you have a stunning, creative weekend!
Thanks so much for the visit!

Watermelon - 7 Dots Studio Jan Challenge

Hello Everyone

Apologies for not posting for a few days but we have had a problem with our telephone and data line, which is still not resolved but I at least today have another option!

So I will be brief....LOL and show you the page I created for the 7 Dots Studio January Challenge.

Appreciating the little things in life....

Here's my take.

I am really so pleased with how this page turned out and love that it's a real boy page! ;-)

This is my journalling and tells you the story of these photo's.  Joe certainly loves his watermelon!!
I love that I was able to capture this sweet moment and watch as the juices ran down his face and arms....it was adorable! These are certainly the moments that are really so special! ;-)

There is lots of paint, stamping, gesso and stencilling.

The chipboard is Blue Fern Studios...I really loved the honey comb bits and also the notebook edges...such super pieces.

Thanks for stopping by...
I really do appreciate the visits!
Have a super evening!

13 - Scrap Around the World January Challenge

Hello Everyone

I am back today with a canvas that I made for the January Scrap Around the World Challenge.

This is the super mood board.

Here is the canvas I created.

I was inspired by the shabby chic look of the mood board, as well as the sentiment - Life is a Balance of Holding on and Letting Go.

This canvas is of my niece, who was obviously 13 and it was her Grade 7 Farewell.  She is still a child, but yet a developing young women.  So yes, that in between phase of sometimes a child and sometimes a young woman...and also that balance of wanting to keep her in childhood, but also wanting to let her grow into womanhood! Not always an easy one.  But she is lovely young lady and has started high school this year.

I used the beautiful BoBunny The Avenues collection and is still one of my favourites.

The leafy chipboards are Blue Fern studios and I did a mix of inking and heat embossing on the leaves.

I used BoBunny stickable stencils and gesso for the background, along with denim colour watercolouring.

She is such a gorgeous young lady! Sometimes I wish I was 13 again! LOL

Anyways...thanks for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

ITM Affirmation Booklet - Rose Cafe BoBunny

Hello Everyone

I hope you are having a super Sunday and also finding some time to just chill! ;-)

As a follow up to my In the Moment canvas I though about creating a little affirmation booklet that I could carry around in my bag, with some thougths and verses that are so positive and affirmation of my living "In the Moment".

I created a concertina booklet using the beautiful Rose Cafe collection from BoBunny.
I also recycled some beautiful pages from an Elise Grey diary from 2012, which were perfect for my booklet.

I kept it quite flat, except for the cover.

I used the kraft patterned BoBunny washi tape to connect my concertina pages and also as embelishments on the pages.

I won't bore you with all the pages, but I used both sides of my concertina. Here's a little view from the side and above.

I'm feeling very philosophical this January 2015...LOL and I am pleased to say that I am keeping to my ITM and also making a concerted effort, everyday, to do just that! ;-)

What's your OLW for 2015 or little verse?

I hope you have a super Sunday!

Take Flight - Berry71Bleu January Challenge

Hello Everyone

It's been a busy week and Joe started school on Wednesday.  So we are really now almost back into the swing of things and I am sure from next week the homework will start! LOL...

I created a canvas for the Berry71Bleu January Challenge - Things with Wings...you really must pop over and see all the inspiration from the Design Team and Guest Designers.

These photo's were taken on my 01st Birthday.  I wish I could remember back to that moment and the thoughts that I had at the time.  But I can imagine that it was exciting and such a carefree time.

I found a really super verse on the internet that I am sure would have applied to me at 1 year old and still applies to me now at 43.

So this is the philosophy behind the canvas.

The last 43 years seem like they have passed by in a flash and I really want to make the next 43 count and be meaningful and each and everyday be special! ;-)

I used the gorgeous digi papers bydigitalpaper and they are also free for you to use here.

OLD coaster 1 - 4 x 4 inch - set of 4 cards - digital collage sheet

So hopefully you can play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super Saturday!

In the Moment - Challenge no.43 Scrap Africa

Hello Everyone

We have a great, new challenge over at Scrap Africa here. It's a great way to start the year and share your OLW for 2015.

Create a project that tells us what your "One Little Word" for 2015 is....what do you really aspire to...what do you dream about...what is 2015 all about for you?
Please share your thoughts with us and remember to explain about your OLW.

I created a canvas, which I am going to hang in my room, which I will see everyday and it will remind me of my OLW - ITM - In the Moment

Last year went extremely fast and I really felt that sometimes the days were just ticking over and that they just seemed to pass me by, without really having much meaning and thought to them.
I was also worrying about what I needed to do next week and "what if" that happened etc. So yes, some days, it just felt like it passed me by in a blur.

This year I do not want that again.  I want myself to really think about each day, as a gift, as a blessing and to live each day with importance and significance.
I also started a diary, so that I could keep note of each day, and the little things in each day. I want to remember and I want each day to count.

My diary is going really well so far and I am also noting my blessings and gifts in each day. I must say...that is really helping me to "Live in the Moment".

I have little hidden pockets for thoughts and notes to myself. I will keep adding to those and really make this canvas a part of my day and life this year.

Even the beautiful Graphic 45 Botanical Tea collection, is a reminder to me, to really sit down and savour that cup of tea, instead of gulping it down, without a thought! ;-)

So why not share your OLW with us too and play along!

There is a PPBN voucher and Lindy's Stamp Gang voucher up for grabs! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

Just Because Tag

Hello Everyone

I hope that you have been having a good weekend! The first week of January is already gone and this week coming, on Wednesday, school starts etc.  I still so wish it was Christmas.... ;-)
I still feel like I'm on holiday and that real life hasn't started again....LOL...I'm sure this coming week will remedy that!!!!

I created a tag, just for fun and just because. It's a general tag and I know that I will be able to use it for any occasion.

I used mostly Prima goodies and they are all from my stash! I am de-stashing!!!! ;-))

This tag is about all the things I love....flowers, leaves, butterflies and pretty papers.

I have really been working in the background this week and I will have lots to share with you soon!

I hope you have a super Sunday!

Pepsi - BoBunny Rose Cafe

Hello Everyone

I am sharing my page that is up on FB BoBunny at the moment, to showcase the stamp stickers, as well as the beautiful Rose Cafe Collection. This is really a stunning collection.

I created this page.

Pepsi is our RingNeck Parrot and she has really become part of the family. Birdie Num Num....always comes to mind when I think of Pepsi!!! LOL

I used the beautiful postage stickers, which were so perfect for my theme.

Here is the other side.

Aren't those stamp stickers just so cute?

I didn't do too much with the background, because this paper is already so pretty and there was nothing that I wanted to add!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Have a super evening!

Take It, Make It Challenge - Craft Stamper

Hello Everyone

I'm loving all these holidays, as it means I have had lots of time for scrapping in between.

I created a card for the Take It, Make It Challenge at the Craft Stamper here and the challenge was to stamp in white.

So here's my take.

I stamped with white ink and also embossed with white powder and then fussy cut the elements and went with a black background.

I added 2 different blue acrylic paints to the flower centres, to give some depth and dimension.

I really had fun with this challenge and I have decided I must really use my stamps more! LOL

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a super Saturday!

Hand Bag Gift Bag - BoBunny

Hello Everyone

I hope the New Year is treating you well and that it is slowly easing you into it! LOL

I created a gift bag handbag for my niece for Christmas.I had got the idea from a PaperCrafts magazine.

Since it was for a Christmas gift, I used Christmas Collage, but you could actually use any papers, to suite the occasion.

Here are the template pieces and it can be sized to however big or small you want it. Make 2 of each template.

To join the 2 sides of your bag, just cut a length of your chosen cardstock colour....you can decide on the thickness and obviously, however you sized the template, will determine the length.  Score 1/2 cm on each side of this length of cardstock and fold up the edges.  Check the placement of this cardstock length between the 2 sides of the bag...on the bottom corners, cut slits into the cardstock, which will allow you to fold it around the bend of the bag.

My niece loved this bag.  I will definitely make another for a lady friend, as a gift holder, as it's really cute.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have yourself a super evening!
