Hello Everyone
Wow...2015!!!!! Can't actually believe it....where has the time gone.....
We have a new sketch challenge at Scrap Africa here.
Please pop over and have a look at the super inspiration from the Guest Designers and Design Team.
Here's the sketch.
Here's my take on it too....using Candy Cane Lane from BoBunny.
To create the background I first laid a stencil onto the background paper and spritsed it with some spray ink. Once dried I laid down another stencil and then a circle stencil on top of that, then applied gesso. This have the circle of gesso circles. Then I randomly stamped with some BoBunny stamps.
To create the title I used some Chiswick alpha's.
I had water coloured these holly chippies a while back and they were the perfect colouring to match this patch.
I kept my journalling in the round circle and like how it added to the design.
Joe is Christmas Cheer itself and cannot contain himself or be patient for the day to arrive.
He is a little sad that it is over already....but is happy that there are still some school holidays left! ;-)
Wishing you a super, first day of 2015!
I hope it's a goodie!

Yep, it comes and then it goes, & then the next year begins with a rush. Scary stuff! Unlike your LO which seems timeless! LOOOOOVE the circle elements & repetition & especially in the blue...that bg is awesome!!! Hope 2015 is good to you and yours, Denise:):)
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous take on the sketch Denise - love the the dots in the background. How sweet is Santa's little helper. I love it when the children get involved in the gift distribution. The holly cluster, the tree and the Father Christmas, all combine perfectly on this festive page. Lovely, lovely work :D
