This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Embrace - OUAS Jan 2013

Hi Everyone

I am sharing another layout today, that tells about my OLW (one little word) for 2013 and it's for the OUAS - Embrace.  So yes, one of my previous layouts was also Embrace, but I think it's important to keep talking about it, thinking about it and then lastly living it! ;-)

Firstly the OUAS sketch.

Here is my take on it.

Materials used:
Kaisercraft Madame Boutique papers and accents
Prima flowers and mask
Petaloo Flowers
7 Gypsies tape.
Enmarc Dazzles Clay Pot
Corrugated board
Lace

I have 2 sets of journalling, one behind each photo.  The journalling says this: With the start of a new year I always want to have a thought that will take me forward and be my guiding light for the year, and this year it is the word Embrace - Learn to embrace the good and the extra-ordinary things in my daily life.  Things happen and we don't always know why, but then they bring about a different set of opportunities and events.  Embrace love and friends and the things I love.  Embrace time, moments and joy!!

Here are some close-ups of the clusters.

I hope that you might think of a word that can inspire and carry you through this year.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon!
Denise x

  6. I like your word for 2013--it's nice and positive. And you have worked magic with this sketch: it's perfectly balanced with lovely details.

Denise, have you seen Lily Bee Design's new "Sweet Shoppe" line of papers? They are filled with strawberry imagery, so it made me think of you, Straw B. :)

  7. Gorgeous layout Denise... I had never seen the one word till last week and I love it.. one of the blogs that I visited had put the words for each year onto a tag and hung it up so that she could keep track of her words and I loved that idea...

  14. Gorgeous Denise - I love how you've unified the two parts, while still keeping the idea in each cluster separate (If that makes sense, lol!) Colour combo is awesome :)
