Hi Everyone
It has been quite a hectic week, but thankfully today is another public holiday, Good Friday, and it's a beautiful day in Africa!
Today is also my sisters birthday and so today we will spend time with the family and enjoy each others company!
So to start with, here is a card I made for her.
I used My Mind's Eye Indie Chic papers and a Scrap FX chippie, which I painted and crackled, with some crackle medium.
Then I also finished my entry for the March Prima PPP, which is all about the various shades of greens and teals. Now admittedly, I do not have a lot of green Prima papers...so I went with the Prima Sparkling Spring collection and a few bits from the Nature Garden Collection.
Here is my page.
I did quite a bit of fussy cutting and then also used a beautiful Design Worx frame, with some die-cute pieces and Prima flowers. I also kept my gesso wall on the background white.
Here are some close-ups.
I wanted to keep the layout crisp and clean and so went with white, as well as the different shades or greens and teals.
Okay, well whatever you are doing today, I hope you have a super day. If you are celebrating Easter or Passover, happy blessings to you and your families!
Have a super day!

This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Discover Yourself - CSI Case File #64
Hello Everyone
I am enjoying my weekend, have spent lots of time with the family and have managed to scrap quite a bit, inbetween! The weather has been really hot and has been glorious! What more can a person ask for?!
I finished another page this afternoon for the new CSI challenge here.
I really loved the colours of this challenge.
So here is my creation.
I used a daisy stencil and did some gesso work, and then coloured the daisies with some ink. I also spritzed with Enmarc Dazzles Sunflowers and Black.
I wanted to continue with the daisy theme, that started in the photo.
Evidence: Rub-Ons, Circles, Leaves and pen work
Testimony: Using the word "You"
This layout is of my neice, who is currently in Austria! She went alone this holiday and is learning to speak the language properly! This photo was taken last July, when we were all in Austria!
My journalling tag is behind the photo and says this:
You are certainly becoming a beautiful, young lady! I am so in awe of you being so brave and travelling on your own to Austria! You are starting to learn about yourself, and it will only continue! Travelling allows you to discover new places, but most importantly, teaches you about yourself! Discover it all!
I did lots of layering and I really like the effect!
I used so many different bits and pieces, but here is a list that hopefully covers it all.
Echo Park alpha stickers
Basic Grey Sweet Threads papers and stickers
Enmarc wall chipboard and chickenwire
Prima flowers
Pink Paislee Sweetness paper
Petaloo leaves
Studio Calico woodgrain rub ons
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!
I hope you have a super Sunday!

Nothing is worth more than this day - Kaisercraft Sketch March #3
Hi Everyone
It is such a relaxed and laid back Saturday morning! I am enjoying every moment, and in a little while, will be going to the airport to meet my brother, arriving from London! Exciting!!!! ;-)
I have a page to show you today, that is for the Kaisercraft sketch #3 this month. It has quite dramatic colours, but I love how it has turned out.
Here was the sketch.
Here is my version of it, using the "Chapter One" collection.
I did some masking and painting on the background and then added my layering and accents.
The paper is so beautiful, so I really wanted to make use of the beautiful swirls and leaves.

This photo was taken on a Saturday afternoon, and I was sitting on the steps outside our house, commiserating with my son, as he was sad about something! He was not a happy bunny and I was trying to console him, and my husband happened to catch this on camera! Luckily, the sadness did not last very long!
Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lucky to have each other - Bo Bunny Challenge
Hi Everyone
Today is such a sunny and beautiful day, that I hope to be spending it outside mostly. I am sure that Joe and I will be getting into the pool this afternoon! ;-)
I have a page to share with you today, for the Bo Bunny challenge this month, which is about using the word "lucky". So I created a page of my sister and her husband and the title is "Lucky to have each other".
I had used a sketch from Scrap Friends as inspiration, not that I think the result looks anything like the sketch. ;-)
I used the beautiful Country Garden collection. I did some sewing and circles and painting on the background. The bricks are Enmarc and I gesso'd them for texture and then spritzed them with Enmarc Dazzles. The alpha's are also Bo Bunny from the Ambrosia collection. The flowers are Petaloo.
Let's have a closer look at some of the details.
I am honestly, the worlds worst sewer, so I am quite proud that my sewing turned out fairly well! ;-))
Anyways, I hope you have a super Friday!
Be back soon!

Be Happy is no. 1 - CSI Case File #63
Hi Everyone
Last weekend I really wasn't able to scrap much, as I had my in-laws here for the weekend, and then had a big family lunch on Sunday! So this pas week, has been very slow creating! However, today is a public holiday and I have tomorrow and Monday off, so this is going to be a wonderful, long weekend! I am going to scrap up a storm!!!
So I have a layout to share and it's for the CSI challenge here.
So here is my page.
The patterned papers are DCWV and the chipboards are Basic Grey, with the swirl and grassy flowers being Kaisercraft. My journalling is behind the photo and is a 7Gypsies tag. The alpha stickers are Bo Bunny.
Evidence: Tape measure paper, numbers
Testimony: I have journalled on a tag, which is seen under the photo.
I created this page of my brother and his girlfriend. My brother got divorced the same year he got married and it was a very sad affair. He has yet to find his happiness again!
So this layout was a little message for him and my journalling says:
Mark, I really worry about you and especially being so far away! I want so much for you to be settled and happy! Nicola is a great girl and we like her very much! But the question is really for you and "absolutely" about what you want and desire! Be happy and know your own heart!
1. Be Happy
2. Be true to yourself
3. Be Yourself
4. Be-lieve in you
5. Be open
6. Be kind to yourself
7. Be-lieve in love
8. Be not afraid
9. Be certain
10. Be strong
Here are some close-ups.
I hope you find some scrappy time today!
Thanks for stopping by.

Zeus and Zoe - March Challenge
Zeus and Zoe
Hello Hello!! I hope your enjoying a wonderful week and maybe even getting some crafting time in. I just wanted to remind you about the Zeus and Zoe Challenge Blog. This month the challenge is "New Beginnings" and you are invited to interpret this theme anyway you'd like as long as you incorporate a stencil or mask in your design. You could even submit a Spring themed project. Here is the original introduction of the challenge from the Zeus and Zoe blog:
The month of March brings longer days, warmer temperatures, the rebirth of flora and fauna and Spring! A talented set of new designers begin their term this month and to celebrate the commencement of the new design term and the upcoming Spring Equinox, the Zeus and Zoe Team challenges you to create a project inspired by the theme "New Beginnings." If you started a new job, moved to a new city, are taking a class, treated yourself to a makeover, repainted your house, celebrated the birth of a child, or are reorganizing your scrap space we want to see how this journey has inspired you! This theme is open for interpretation, so we are adding an additional requirement for this challenge to use a mask or stencil on your entry
and finally, here is an inspiration board to spark your creative!!
This board includes some of the projects made by the design team for this month's challenge and here are the prizes you could win!!
One project will be chosen by the design team using a voting system and besides bragging rights, the winner will receive this prize from this month's sponsor DecorArt:
Then a random winner will be chosen and will win this prize:
I hope you'll join us!!!! Happy Creating!!!!

Summertime - Prima BAP
Hi Everyone
It is a beautiful day here in Africa and the sun is shining, the family is coming round for a braai! So I quickly wanted to share this layout with you for the Prima BAP this month.
Here was the sketch for some inspiration.
And of course...here is my version of it.
I really so love how this page turned out and I am so pleased that I used this photo, because I love it in this colouring that I chose.
I used the Zephyr collection and so picked out the blues and oranges. I did some sand gesso stencillling on the background, as well as some spritzing and paint circles. The brick outline is Enmarc and the corners are Imaginarium Designs leftovers.
Here are some close-ups for the detailing.
This photo was taken last year in Austria, on the hills of an Austrian countryside! I love the childrens bright faces and the beautiful grasses of the hillside! This is Austria in a nutshell!!! ;-)
I really love this page! I hope you like it too.
Have a super Sunday!
I hope you find some scrappy time!

Oumie and Joe - Scrap Africa Cardstock Challenge
Hi Everyone
Man, am I glad it's Friday!!!!! Yay, let the weekend begin!!!! ;-)
There is a really super cardstock challenge over at Scrap Africa and it is about using cardstock only and NO patterned papers. It was really so fun to play with the cardstock and I was really happy with what I created too.
Please check out the blog for some wonderful inspiration from Heather Jacob and the DT team!
Here is my layout.
I used different shades of purple cardstock and distressed the edges. I also applied gesso and some stamping for texture and detail. The flowers are Prima and Petaloo and my chipboard vine is a no-name brand with Celebr8 fence. The lace used is also Prima, as well as the alpha stickers.
Some close-ups for good measure.
It would be super if you could play along! You have until March 31st.
Thanks for popping in!
Have a super Friday!

Fire(Boy) - MME March Challenge
Hi Everyone
It has been a really hectic week, with my son not being so well and just having a lot on my plate! I am scrapping furiously, so will should hopefully have some layouts to share with you shortly.
Today I have a page I made for the MME March challenge, which is to use any die-cuts on the page.
So I created a page of my son, at a Firemans Birthday party.
I used a few collections, On the Bright Side, Meadow Lark and Miss Caroline. The chippies are Enmarc and the big alpha's are Basic Grey. The washi tape is Lost and Found.
I am not sure that it turned out exactly the way I had imagined it, but I think it will do! ;-)
Here are a few close-ups.
I hope you are finding some scrappy time!
Be back soon!

A Boy and His Dog - CSI Case File #62
Hi Everyone
I hope that you had a good weekend and that Monday is a good one! I had a wonderful weekend and also spent some time at HobbyX, where I definitely spent more money than I intended to, on some nice scrap goodies! ;-)
I have a boy page to share with you today, for the new CSI case file.
Here's my page.
I really used such a mixed bag of supplies.

Here's my page.
I really used such a mixed bag of supplies.
- Background wood paper is Kaisercraft.
- The circle stickers, chevron sticker and stars are Echo Park
- The chevron paper is Carta Bella, as well as the alpha stickers.
- The chevron stamp is 7 Gypsies.
The cute splodges I did with gesso and then outlines them with a brown pen.
The journalling pretty much speaks for itself, and the photo's tell the same story.
A few close-ups for good measure...
I really believe that every child should have a dog! It teaches them many lessons! Joe and Rosie certainly teach each other! ;-)
Thanks for stopping by!
I appreciate the visit!
Enjoy your evening!

Weekend - OUAS March Challenge
Hi Everyone
I am so pleased that it is almost weekend, and that Friday is just around the corner!
I have finished my OUAS layout, but admittedly it took me a few days! I am happy with how it turned out, but a few elements were giving me grey hairs! I am still not sure about 1 or 2 elements, but overall, I think it turned out okay! Do you sometimes have layouts like that?
Anyways, here's the sketch.
Here's my version.
I used Little Yellow Bicycle "Saturdays" papers and accents. The chippies are Celebr8 and Design Worx and the chippie alpha's are Enmarc. The flowers are Petaloo.
I did some Gesso work and stamping on the background, and also used Gesso on the ladder and fence for texture, with Enmarc Dazzles.
Here are some close-ups.
This one shows a close-up of my journalling.
The journalling says: Weekends are for swimming, lying by the pool and generally spending time outside. We often go to Oumie and Oupie and swim and then lie in the sun! The dogs join us and we have a whale of a time. This photo is exactly that - You lying next to the pool at Oumie and Oupie!
I love this photo of my son, he cannot get enough of the pool in summer, and so most weekends are spent very close to the pool and in the garden! This is what summer weekends are about - SUN, SWIM, RELAX!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a super evening!
