This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

To be or not to Be - Merry - My Minds Eye Dec Sketch Challenge

Hello Everyone

It's the very last day of the year! My goodness...how this year has flown! I really do wish you everything of the best for 2105! ;-)

Before the year is out....I have one more layout to share from Christmas, for the MME Dec sketch challenge.

Ronda Palazzari MME December Sketch

I turned the sketch on it's side.

I was taking photo's on Christmas Eve and my brother was pulling faces at the camera.  So I used this "Scroogy" one and gave the page the title of " To be or not to Be - Merry".....LOL

I mainly used the All is Bright Collection...but also used up some bits and pieces from other MME collections.

I layered up the bits and pieces, along with lots of stamping and splashes on the background.

Above is the close-up of the story....;-)

Well I am sure you have some fun snaps from Christmas too....

Whatever you do this evening....I hope it's a goodie!
Enjoy and I'll see you on the flip side of 2015! ;-)

You Make My Heart so Happy - Blue Fern Studios December Sketch

Hello Everyone

I had some time yesterday to finish off a canvas that I have created for the sketch challenge at Blue Fern Studios. This was the super sketch.

Here is my take on it.

I used the Harlequin Panel and embossed the bits with Tim Holtz Distress Podwer, Weather-Worry Look. It was perfect for this boy canvas! ;-)

The papers and stickers are from Fancy Pants Designs - Happy Go Lucky.  I had bought 2 super, cool die-cuts a while back and used them both too.

" I love the fact that you still love and kiss me and that I get to hold you close! I hope that this will still continue for many, many years....and I promise I won't do it in front of your friends!!! "

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a gorgeous Sunday!

Past, Present and Christmas's to come - BoBunny Christmas Collage 8x9 Misc. Me

Morning Everyone

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and I really hope that it was really special and remembered. I did not have any chance of getting near my computer until this morning....so even though it is a little late....I really wish you all the best!!! ;-)

We had a wonderful and special time with our families over these last couple of days and it was so special that everyone was here, including my brother!!! ;-)

I hope yours was just as special and I look forward to seeing your Christmas memories and photo's.

Last week I was up on the BoBunny blog here  with my Misc Me project. It was a Christmas Binder that I have started...Past, Present and Christmas's to come. So this years photo's will definitely be added at some point....I won't say "soon"...LOL....but at some point! ;-)

Here was the cover for it.

I used the gorgeous chipboard goodies from Leaky Shed Studio and all the Misc Me goodies from Christmas Collage.

I started with the year 2006.

I used the BoBunny stickable stencils and white pigment ink to do the year.

Below is the entire page.

I really enjoy the pocket scrapbooking and I love the Misc Me product and honestly, I found this so easy to do.  I enjoyed it thoroughly.

The rest of the pages can be seen on the BoBunny blog.

Have a gorgeous day....whatever that is!
Blessings and love to you all!

Jack Frost - Berry71Bleu December Challenge

Morning Everyone

I am up on the Berry71Bleu Blog here, with my take on the December Challenge.

It's a beautiful winter mood board.

I created a shadow box by altering a picture frame.

I used the gorgeous Altitude collection from BoBunny along with the super digi images from Gecko Galz.

I coloured the digi images with old fashioned pencils, which was perfect and then fussy cut the images.

It was quite hard to photograph as it has a glass front and so whether inside and outside, it had glares. So the angle of photograph, was the trick! ;-)

The frame I painted with some glitter paint and then added the silver, embossed corner pieces.

Thanks for stopping by....
Maybe you have some time to play along.....
Have a super day!

Adventure - Prima BAP December

Morning Everyone

It's 5.30 in the morning...it's fresh and cool, it rained in the night and I am quickly posting this, before we head out for the weekend.

I loved the Prima BAP sketch...so wintery and beautiful and so had to go with a wintery page.

Here's my take.

I can't believe I was 24 when these photo's were taken....
My husband David and I went to Andorra for a week and we learnt to ski!..I was actually so very afraid, as I was scared of heights and did not really want to go.  But in the end, it was one of the best weeks ever...I conquered my fear of heights...I really had no choice and had such great fun and loved the ski-ing. We met some wonderful people and really enjoyed the local talent and cuisine.  - Jan 1995

I used bits and bobs from a variety of Prima collectioms...

I used some Flower Soft too, which I have had for ages and have never really used.

I will never forget this adventure....

Have you ever done something that you really did not want to do and then ended up having the time of your life?

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a super weekend!

Christmas Tree - Space Saver - Candy Cane Lane - BoBunny

Hello Everyone

I hope that your Christmas shopping and preparations are going well! ;-)

I have an Aunt who is 86 and stays in a Retirement village near us.  She is in room, which she shares with another lady.  So I wanted to give her something Christmassy for her room, but had to keep it small.

I had got some inspiration from the shopping centre near us, that had a Christmas tree, made from huge doilies.  So here is my tree, made from different sized diecuts.  I am sure that any circular type diecuts would work perfectly.

I used a dowel stick for the centre and punched holes into the centre of my diecuts.  I also added a little plastic jar, which I covered with paper, as the base. Each diecut piece I just cut a slit from the centre to the edge, and then stuck the ends together to give it a curve.

I added pearls and gems as the decorations.

This is how it looks from above!

I will pop past my Aunt today and give it to her.  I hope she likes it!!

Anyways....hope you are enjoying the festive season.

Have a super, festive day!

Picture with Santa - Scrap Africa Challenge no.41

Morning Everyone

There is a super new challenge over at Scrap Africa here..

For some it's Christmas Time/December Holidays/ Hannukah in sunny Africa....for some it's a snowy winter in Europe.... Tell us what a traditional December is like for you, in your home town, city or country.  So journalling is a must...even if just telling us the story on your blog!

You can create a layout or card or altered project to depict this theme.

Here's my take on it.

I used the super, cute Elf Magic Collection from BoBunny.

I did some water colouring, stamping and splashing for my background.

Perhaps you can play along....

It would be great to know what December Time means for you...or what it is like for you wherever you are in the world...

Have a super Monday

In Good Company

Hello Everyone

My sister and I went on an adventure yesterday to Parkhurst, to find a shop of someone she knew from years back....only to not find the shop...BUT, we did find a treasure trove called "In Good Company".

This shop was a creators dream....with the most amazing vintage goodies, party goodies, Christmas goodies....we shopped up a storm.  So for the South Africans, there is one in Parkhurst and another in Claremont, Cape Town.  Do yourself a favour and visit them, you will be blown away!
Not only that, you will be bankrupt by the end of your visit too!!!!! ;-)

Here are some of the goodies I bought yesterday.

I bought some vintage mugs for my brothers 40th birthday and some other goodies, which were so kindly and beautifully wrapped, so I cannot show you them here.

I have also been scrapping up a storm in the background and will share lots of it, with you soon!

I hope your Christmas shopping is going well. ;-)

Have a super evening!

Stocking Fillers - MME December Challenge

Hello Everyone

The silly season has certainly started and I have had such a busy week! But I can now happily and joyously say that I am on leave!!! Woop Woop!! ;-)

My son and I went to a Carols by Candle Light evening, last night, and it was lovely to be reminded of this special time of year and the reason behind Christmas.

My Mind's Eye has a super stocking filler Challenge on for December and I have not played along for ages, so I thought it was about time! ;-) The challenge is also a super one.

So I altered a small box that I had and also made a matching tag. (that is a given LOL!)

I used various Lost & Found collections and was again, pleased to use some of my stashy goods! ;-)

I was thinking to myself that even though papers may be a bit older, pretty papers, no matter how old, still remain pretty!!

A bit of bling, is a must for Christmas projects! ;-)

I'm not sure what is going to go inside yet. I must do some Christmas shopping this week!

Today we are off to Gold Reef City...it's an old mining town city, and there is a theme park for the kids etc....so should be a fun, filled day!

Hope you are doing something nice!
Have a super day!

Still besotted with Christmas Tags...

Hello Everyone

As the title of this post suggests, I am still so happy and inspired to make Christmas tags.  They are really my favourite at the moment.

Here's my newest.

These 2 are really bits and pieces from my stash.  I am really happy to be using up the stashy bits.

I have recently bought some artificial flowers from the Chinese market and I have started using them on my projects.  They are relatively cheaper than some of the scrappy flowers, but some of them are just as beautiful and have great dimension.

Christmas is just around the corner and my goodness, I still have lots of shopping and things to do.
But luckily I am on leave from next week and so I look forward to lots of scrapping, shopping and just pottering around the house! I cannot wait!

Thanks for the visit today!
I hope it's a super day...

Oh Snap - Sketch Challenge no.40 - Scrap Africa

Hello Everyone

It's Monday, 01 Dec and a new sketch up at Scrap Africa.

I love the sketch, even if I say so myself! ;-)

Here's my page.

I loved the grunginess of the sketch and so kept to the same styling, on my page.

I did some gesso stencilling, splashy painting and lots of stamping.

I used no patterned paper on this page.  I just used card stock.  The plastic film reel is Kaisercraft, and the circle chipboard is Blue Fern Studios.

The stamps are all BoBunny and the camera rub on BoBunny also.

We went for a family photo shoot a few weeks back, with the kids, my Mom, my sister and myself.  These were some of the photo's taken.

Anyways...I really hope you can play along with this sketch...I think it's a goodie! ;-)

Have a super evening!
