This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Enjoy - Prima PPP April 2014

Hello Everyone

I am just in time to still upload my Prima PPP page for April. I have no idea where April went, but this month has just flown by and May is a few hours away! ;-)

April 2014 ppp

So here is my take on the challenge.

I used the All About Me collection, which I simply just love! It's fresh and beautiful and I really loved these papers.

I have been dabbling with my embossing powders and embossed the circles on the patterned paper and then also embossed, after stamping over a Prima stencil.

Here are the close-ups below. I used clear embossing powder, with a little bit of bling in.

Then I did some spritsing and wiped off all the excess, for a super result.

I used Enmarc chipboard leaves, to complete the clusters.

These 2 pretty girls are my neices and they are sisters.  They really do fight and get into each others hair, but every now and then they are friends and also enjoy each others company. So this layout is about them enjoying each other and I have a little note under the "notes" tab, where I have written my thoughts about this sisterly love! LOL

Your comments and love are so appreciated!

Vroom - Scrap365 May Sketch

Hello Everyone

I am loving the long weekends and it certainly has allowed me to catch up on a whole lot of things, including scrapping. They have made me lazy for work though and so today at work felt like a very loooooooong day!!

In any case, I have a page to share for the Scrap 365 May Sketch Challenge.

Here is my take on it.

I used some photo's of Joe, from 2 years ago, and wow, it is amazing to see how this boy has grown and no longer has his little baby face.

We were at the park and Joe realised that riding on the grass was not so easy, especially in the thick places.  So Willem decided to give him a push and Joe was delighted and eventually just put his feet up, while Willem pushed away.  No doubt, Willem was soon huffing and puffing and Joe was all smiles and saying "faster, faster"!! LOL....

Denise Price inspired me to get back into my stash and start using up my goodies! I was good for about 2 months and then wasn't quite so good! Anyways, so this was a stash pick and was really pleased to use the Kaisercraft, On the Move Collection.

Thanks for popping in...
I hope you have a super day!

Memories - Prima BAP April 2014

Hello Everyone

I have a vintage/heritage page to share with you today for the Prima BAP for April.

BAP april 2014 mani

The sketch was a great one. Here is my interpretation.

I used the School Memories Collection, which was the obvious choice for this page! ;-) It seems like an absolute lifetime ago that I was in Grade 1 and Standard 1! ;-)

I used stamping, watercolouring, gesso and stencilling....so generally a little bit of this and that, as always! ;-)

LOL...here's a close-up of the journalling!

I did a lot of fussy cutting, as there were so many gorgeous little bits that one could use from these papers!

Ah well, quite a reminiscent page, especially since my own son is now in Grade 1. The circle of life is certainly turning!

Have a super evening and weekend!

BoBunny Misc Me. Happy Tails Continuation

Hello Everyone

I had a lovely weekend, with some good family time, but also good scrappy time! ;-)

I really do love the Misc Me. products from BoBunny and seriously,  I had never tried pocket scrap booking before, but I have so enjoyed it, that I will definitely continue.  I had started my Doggie Tails binder in January and I have kept up with it and have some pages to share with you.

I don't think I need to tell you much, as the pages will speak for themselves! ;-)

LOL... a little story in themselves!

As you can see Blossom is still a puppy, but my goodness, has she grown!!
She is a diggy and chewy doggy at the moment, but we still love her to bits! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by...
I hope you have a super evening!

Life - Scrap Around the World April Challenge

Hello Everyone

Today was the perfect day! Perfect weather, perfect company and a perfect lunch! Just a beautiful and gorgeous day! ;-)

I finished a page for the Scrap Around the World April Challenge. This is the stunning mood board below by Riikka Kovasin.

I know that it's not a colour challenge, but I really did love the colours of the board, as well as the crackled little board and the beatiful butterflies. So these were the things that I incorporated into my page.
The thoughts on life were also inspiration and hence the theme of Life (and thoughts) for my page.

I did a lot of work on the background and really enjoyed playing with the different techniques etc. I will show you a close-up below, which gives you an idea of the crackle, stamping and paints.

I really dove into my stash and used some rub-ons and goodies, that I have had for ever and a day! ;-) So I really pleased about that.

I used the Vintage Chic collection from Heidi Swapp, which is still one of my favourite collections.

Just in front of the big butterfly is a chipboard and this is actually my pullout for my journalling tag. That's why I also have the little "Note to Self" rub-on there...

I often hear of people whose lives are really so short, for whatever reason, and again this week it was a reminder to me, that life is precious and everyday is a gift! So this is what this page is about!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

You're 10 today and Thank You Cards - Kraft Wood BoBunny

Hello Everyone

I hope you are having a good Easter weekend.

Yesterday we spent a lovely day together with the family and it was really glorious! It was a warm autumn's day and it was just great spending some time together.

I also managed to get a lot of scrappy time, inbetween, so that was really good too! ;-)

I am up on the BoBunny blog today with some Kraft Wood cards. Please pop by and see what Gabrielle and Lisa did.

Here are the cards I made.

I created 2 very different cards, one for my neice, who will be having a birthday in couple of months, and the other a Thank You card. One being young and fresh and the other more classic and elegant. I always like to try and keep a few cards on hand, because with life being so busy, it helps to have a few made cards made, so should you need one in a hurry, you can just pick up and go!

I used Modern Miss for this birthday card, as I love the young and fresh look of this collection. I cheekily also used a Kraft wood mustache, which I inverted, to give the glasses a bit of a retro 60's feel!

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Modern Miss, Fascinating/ Modern Miss
Cardstock: Strawberry Dot
Stickers:  Combo Sticker/ Modern Miss
Noteworthy: Modern Miss
Brads: Modern Miss
Jewels: Modern Miss
Stamps: It is Written, You're Invited, Alphabet
Petals: The Avenues
Kraft Wood: Camera Shapes, Mustaches

For the Thank You card I used the beautiful and gorgeous Primrose Collection. This is really such a stunning and soft collection and it just is so easy to create beautiful projects, when the papers are so beautiful.

I used lots of layers and textures and this gives the card depth and interest.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Dot, Memories, Bliss/ Primrose
Noteworthy: Primrose
Jewels: Primrose
Chipboard:12 x 12/ Primrose
Stamps: You're Invited
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Primrose
Blossoms: Blush Daisy
Kraft Wood: Elegant Shapes
Kraft: Burlap Pleated Lace

Thanks so much for popping by!
I hope you have a super Saturday!

Smile - Berry71Bleu April Challenge - Handmade Flowers

Hello Everyone

I am up on the Berry71Bleu blog today with my take on the April Challenge.

I decided to go with layered die-cuts for my handmade flowers and really liked the way that these came out. As I was making them, I thought to myself, that it was really an inexpensive way to make flowers and must really do that more often, as using lots of store-bought flowers tends to make a dent in the wallet somtimes! ;-)

I created this page, using the wonderful papers from 7 Dots Studio. I so loved the thickness of these papers, they were just awesome for a mixed media project.

The background was created with gesso paste, 7 Dots Studio stamps, JustRite Clear stamps and someBoBunny washi tape. I layered strips from the 7 Dots Studio Illumination collection, and stickers and also word strips from Darkroom Door. The round circle and ring chipboard are from UmWow, which I first painted white and then spritzed with "Bermuda" from Enmarc. I loved how the colour pooled in some places and just dotted in others....it gave a super effect!

As I said previously, my flowers were made with die-cuts and layered together.  I added some watercolour, spritzing and ink for dimension. I then also placed some thready cotton underneath to soften them.

This photo gives you a closer look at all the layering and various techniques used to bring this page together.

So we hope that you will play along with the challenge and really be bloomin' creative!!!! ;-)))

This month we challenge you to create a project using handmade flowers!

There must be at least ONE homemade flower on your project.
This challenge is not limited to a scrapbook page - think canvas, home decor, headbands, anything your creative mind can dream up! There are hundreds of flower tutorials out there for flowers made out of paper, felt, cloth, twine, burlap, coffee filters, etc. For links to all of the flower tutorials pictured above, and many more, see Tracey's Pintrest page here.
