General Tag - Mixed Media Tag - Take it Make It Challenge August

Hello Everyone

I have a mixed media tag to share with you today.

I did a paint resist background, where I stencilled with distress paint first and then once dried, I added distress inks over this.

I then also added drops of white acrylic paint.

I also stamped and coloured those beautiful blooms, which were fussy cut and then layered.

Here's a little closer look.

I really love all the layers and the colouring on this tag.

I added some white chipboard and white leaves, to make this tag pop.

Lastly I added an old rub-on that added a little bit of detail too, along with the metal title.

Mixed Media Tags - Berry71Bleu

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are having a really good week.

There's another gorgeous Berry71Bleu mood board this month.

I loved the blues and purples from it.

So created some tags.

I used stencils and acrylic paint to resist the distress inks to create the backgrounds.

I love how they turned out.

Wishing you Well Card - BoBunny Winter Wishes

Hello Everyone

It has been a fabulous long weekend and I am rather sad that tomorrow it is work again! LOL

Anyways...I am still enjoying it while it lasts! ;-)

A friend at work asked me to make a card for another friend that is leaving her church, to go off and pursue her music career.

So I used the BoBunny Winter Wishes collection, as there are some muscial elements in it.

Here is the card.

I used some old music paper as the background too.

I used a gorgeous Design Worx chippie too and some old twine.

My Little Star Tag - ScrapBerry's

Hello Friends

I created a tag, using some Tim Holtz products and My Little Star collection from ScrapBerry's.

This is such a sweet collection.

I fussy cut the sweet little elements.

I created the background, with a paint resist technique.

You sponge paint through a stencil and allow it to dry. Then add distress inks and colours and the paint resists this.

I will definitely be using this on a baby shower gift.
