This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Today is a Celebration Tag - Distress Oxides

Hello Everyone

I hope you had a good weekend and that Monday has been kind to you! ;-)

A few weeks back I was playing with my distress oxides and embossing powders.
I used an embossing folder over a distress oxide inked background and then added some white embossing over the raised edges.

I then also added some white spritz over the entire tag.  It gave it such a soft and gorgeous look.

I don't think I will ever stop playing with my oxides and inks.
There is just so much that one can do! ;-)

Lastly I added a bit of a burnt, dark edge to the tag, which I also love.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
I hope it inspires you to play, play play!!!! -)

Cheers for now

Thank You Tag & Earth Laughs Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

Today I have some general tags to share with you.
I used up some of my Graphic 45 bits and pieces... I am such a hoarder and throw nothing away! ;-)

Here's the first of the 2 tags.

I did some white stamp embossing on the background and then coloured it with distress oxides.
I added a chipboard piece and some fussy cut elements.

I so love the earthy colours of this one.

My second tag is upcycled Graphic 45 packaging.

I so love these pretty papers, they have fabulous elements that can be fussy cut.

These tags did not make use of many papers and products and yet, once layered, they are pretty cool!
I think, in anycase! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope I tagged you to make a few tags with your bits and pieces! ;-)

Have a fabulous day!

I then also added drops of white acrylic paint.

I also stamped and coloured those beautiful blooms, which were fussy cut and then layered.

Here's a little closer look.

I really love all the layers and the colouring on this tag.
I added some white chipboard and white leaves, to make this tag pop.
Lastly I added an old rub-on that added a little bit of detail too, along with the metal title.

L'Aquarelle Designs Stamps - Ultimate Crafts
Distress Inks

It's a Public Holiday here today and so it's a really nice day to just chill, enjoy the gorgeous weather and maybe even find some creative time.

I am making Christmas Tags this year and don't think I will be making too many cards.
The tags work for me and I really enjoy making these soo much.

Here's the one for today.

I used some yummy Graphic 45 goodies.

Here's a close-up.

I layered up some pretty die-cuts, which really did work well.

Well I hope your Christmas preparations are going well.

I hope you have a super day!

Vintage Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

Today I have a vintage tag to share with you.
I really had soooo much fun with my inks and stamps and of course, some gorgeous Graphic 45 pieces, that are from some of my earliest scrappy stash.

So here it is.

I used a lot of BoBunny stamps and distress inks on the background.

These butterflies were just fabulous and so just had to be fussy cut! ;-)

Thanks so much for coming to see another of my tags today.
Hope you have a good evening!

Christmas Tags - BoBunny Christmas Collage

Hello Everyone

The family festivities still continue and my husbands 2 boys arrived yesterday, as well as my brother from London! So we spent a wonderful day yesterday beside the pool, eating and drinking and just spending time together! It was a fabulous day! ;-)

My internet woes still continue but I am persevering with posting, as today seems to be a little better.

I have some tags to share from Christmas and they were all made using BoBunny's Christmas Collage. This is just a festive and beautiful collection.

They are all mixed media and I used stencils, gesso and paint for the background effects! ;-)

And here is the last one.

I made all the flowers from layers and layers on BoBunny petals.

I meant to do a tutorial ages ago and this has reminded me.  So here is a quick little tutorial.

You can use any punched flowers or flat flowers, in this case, BoBunny petals and layer them together to make these flowers.

To get a nice full flower, I would suggest using 4 layers of different sized flowers and 2 flowers in a layer,  So 8 petals or flowers in total.

Now layer the flowers from biggest to smallest and use a brad to fasten them all together.  Rotate the same sized flowers/petals so that they overlap, as well as with the other layers.

Now take a spritzer and spritz the flower, so that all the layers, front and back are drenched.
Use a paper towel to soak up an excess water.

Now carefully close up all the layers and squeeze them pretty tight towards each other.

Twist the tops to make the flower closed.
Be gentle with softer papers as these are more likely to tear.
Now allow the flowers to dry.

Some of the flowers make start to open, especially if you have used cardstock.  Just tighten them up again.  If you have much bigger flowers, then I would suggest turning them upside down and placing them in "shot" glasses as they them keep tight and dry nicely in this position.

I leave the flowers for about 48hrs to dry.  Once they are dried and crisp, start to carefully open and unfold the flowers.  The result is a unique and layered bloom! ;-)

This is a really great way of creating economical flowers and the possibilities are endless, depending on colour, punches, dies, petals etc.

Well thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you are enjoying the Christmas festivities still.

Have a super day!

Tags for Berry71Blue using Heartfelt Creations

Hello Everyone

We got some gorgeous goodies from Heartfelt Creations to play with, this month for the die challenge! I so loved the dies and the gorgeous stamps! They have such pretty papers too! ;-)

I created some tags.

I stamped and water coloured and fussy cut, the sunflower image twice! ;-)

For the second tag I gessoed, heat embossed with white embossing powder and then played with the water colours.

I also stamped and water coloured the butterflies.

So if you created a project with die-cuts this month, why not pop on over to Berry71Bleu and add your project.  Otherwise, you still have time to create something new! ;-)\

Hope you have a super Sunday!
