This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Farewell/Retirement Card - Penelope Dee Rustique & Travel Notes

Hello Everyone

Penelope Dee really have had some great collections and I am still enjoying Rustique and Travel Notes.

I had to create a card for a colleague at work, who is retiring at the end of the month and so used these 2 collections to make a card, but also a little book of memories, all in one.

I went for the vintage look! ;-)

All the little flowers are handmade.

Here's a little look at the inside, that has quite a few pages for messages and signing.

I included some little messages etc.

Below you can see all the various pages and bits.

Lastly, just a pic of one of the little notes again.

I really hope it will be special and meaningful for Marianne.
I know that this is one of my favourite projects to date! ;-)

Wishing you a fabulous and enjoyable day!
Thanks for the visit.
Cheers for now.

Wild and Free Mixed Media Layout - Penelope Dee Rustique and Wanderlust

Hello Everybody

I hope that you have had a good weekend and found some time to relax and unwind.

I had a 4 day weekend, which was really super, but it still feels like I could have had another few days! ;-)

I have a Penelope Dee mixed media layout to share with you today.
It's a boy page of my son.

I made it rather grungy, with lots of rusty cogs and bits and also used Paperarty Infusions to add to this grungy feel.

I also used embossing powders to create texture.

The chipboards were also treated to look grungy and have lots of texture.

I loved creating this page and love the end result! So perfect for this boy of mine! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the visit!
Have a super evening!

Always in My Heart Card - Penelope Dee - Rustique Collection

Hello Everyone

I was able to play some more with the gorgeous Rustique and Wanderlust collection from Penelope Dee and I created this vintage card. I really love how this card turned out.

I used oxides to colour the chipboard and then added some fixative, to give it a little shinier look. Not hugely so, but allowed the colours to show up better on the shiny chipboard.

I also added little bits of leftover lace around the edges of the card.

I used a new die-cut set to cut these leaves. I really love this little set.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the visit.

Have a gorgeous day!

Down to Earth Mixed Media Page - Rustique Collection Penellope Dee

Hello Everyone

I have certainly been missing in action on my blog, but gladly I am still here to tell the tale! ;-)
LOL
I have been super hectic and then I also took a few days off, during the school holidays, to spend with my son. Then I also got a really bad dose of the flu, which I am still trying to shake off too!

Anyways, I am sharing a real favourite page today, one I created for Penelope Dee, using the gorgeous Rustique Collection! ;-)

Here it is.

I had this idea to create the sunrise colouring and effect around the photo, which is exactly what this photo is about.  It was a beautiful sunrise at Redhill Farm, Limpopo Dec 2017.

So I used the gorgeous, tree chippies from Penelope Dee, a chipboard frame from Blue Fern Studios and some grassy and twiggy die-cuts, along with Paperartsy Infusions and distress oxides, to create the sun and the sunrise colouring.
I am such a fan of these beautiful "sprinkles"! LOL

I also used the Blackcurrant sprinkles to colour the title.

Here you can see the sun and the twiggy branches.  I used a circle die-cut and some paper to create my outline and then dabbed distress oxides in and around the sun. Then I added some more sprinkles and colouring.

Lastly I added some white splashes along the bottom section, just to lighten it slightly.

I really love how this page turned out.  It is definitely a favourite for me! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!
