This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Birthday Card no.2 - Prima CAT September Challenge

Hello Everyone

It is my neice's Birthday on Thursday and so I made 2 cards for her Birthday.  One was from us and the other from my parents.

I shared the first one the other day and so here is the other one, as promised.

I used BoBunny chocolate pearlescent to create the gorgeous, pastey yet shimmery background.

Here's a closer shot.

I so loved how it turned out.
My niece really liked it too and that is most important.

I played along with the Prima CAT September challenge.

Catseptcolor

I used the Vintage Emporium Collection for this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a super evening!

It's a Dogs Life - Prima Build a Page July 2016

Hello Everyone

I finished a page for the Prima Build a Page for July.
Here is the BAP.

2016 July BAP

So here is my take on it.

I used all sorts of bits and pieces from various Prima collections, but mostly from the Vintage Emporium Collection.

Here's some close-ups.

I used some Celebr8 chipboard too, which is the flower and leaves chipboard pieces.
I coloured these with paints and inks.

I really love this photo of my dog Sally!
This was taken on a Sunday morning.....her little Sunday morning nap.
It really is a dog's life! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the comments.

Birthday Card

Hello Everyone

It's my husband's Birthday today and after last week's health scare, we are sooo pleased that he has made 45 today! ;-)

So I made a Birthday card for the Birthday Boy.

I used Prima papers and goodies, along with an Enmarc chippie.

I used some Leather Look embossing powder for the chipboard.

Here's a little peek inside too.

I think he was rather pleased with it! ;-)

Anyways, we have some family and friends coming over later...so I had better crack on! ;-)

Have a super day!

Sketch no.58 - Scrap Africa

Hello Everyone

We have a new sketch up on the blog, for the new month, at Scrap Africa.

I had recently gone with 2 friends, sisters, to a ladies tea and we had the best time! We had such a laugh and it was just so very good for the soul! ;-) My friend took some photo's with her camera and so I wanted to scrap them.  The photo quality was not so great, but I scrapped them anyway.  I wanted to remember and document that morning.

I created a canvas.

I used Prima Garden Fable papers and accents, along with a Blue Fern chipboard .

I recycled a delicate scarf, that after much wear and washing, just started to fall apart.  So the white lace used is from that beautiful scarf.

These rose clusters from Prima were perfect for this design and page.

There had to be some fussy cutting...LOL...so these pretty roses were perfect for that! ;-)

Maybe you can play along....we would love if it you could.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

Believe Tag

Hello Everyone

I had a heap of scrappy things to do today and it was mostly administrative type stuff, so I am really pleased that I got it done and dusted!

I did however, finish off another tag using Prima bits and bobs.  I shared a tag yesterday and I am sharing it again today, because admittedly, I don't think the late afternoon lighting did it justice yesterday.  So here it is, along with my newly finished one.

I am really happy with these tags and I am pleased to have used up some bits.

Here's a closer look at the new one.

I even used some Prima packaging for the tag itself.

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a super evening!

Hope Tag

Hello Everyone

Apologies for having been missing for a week! I actually cannot believe that more than a week passed, since my last post! Yikes! Where has the time gone?

Life has just been hectic at work and also at home and I needed to concentrate on them and also spend quite a bit of time behind the PC for admin reasons. I was also creating behind the scenes and so very soon will have lots to share with you! ;-)

But today I just quickly used up some of my Prima bits and created this tag.

I really am on a mission again, to use up bits and bobs! ;-)

I used Forever Green and bits and bobs from various other collections. I really can't waste and just throw away these off cuts, so what better than to create cards and tags! They are perfect for bits and bobs! ;-)

Anyways...hope you have a good evening!
Be back soon!

Relax, Restore, Breathe - Scrap Africa Sketch Challenge no.36

Hello Everyone

Wow...01st October! Now the end of year gitteries are really setting in and I realise I have much to do before this year is finished! ;-)

Anyways, we have a new sketch challenge at Scrap Africa here. It's a bit eclectic, but I like it! ;-)

I went with a beach page and theme and I am happy with the result.

I used the gorgeous Seashore collection from Prima.

The chipboard words are Celebr8 and the tree chipboard is Enmarc.

I used the little woody bits from a canvas to create the fence, along with some string.

My journalling tells you about this page and my love for the sea and these 2 boys! ;-)

Please pop over and have a look at the GD and DT inspiration....and then...put paint to paper and play along!!!!!! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

Forever - OUAS August Challenge

Hello Everyone

I hope that your Monday was a super start to the week.

I finished a page for the OUAS August challenge.

Journalling Theme: "The men in our lives..."

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is!

I turned the sketch on it's side and then created a page about a man in my life - my brother, who is 40 this year. He is the youngest of 3 siblings.

So here's my page.

I used a number of different bits and pieces and papers from different Prima collections. I wanted to keep this a masculine page, even though I used a few flower bits.

I did some watercolour effects, as I love doing lately and was very happy with the results.  I also added some gold beads, which I have never added on a scrappy page and thought they made a nice little feature and added some texture.

I have had these ornate metal hinges forever and a day.  I always wanted to save them for a special page and this page of my brother, was the perfect fit.  The metal accents just added to the masculinity. So after about 10 years or more in my scrappy stash, they have finally found their way onto a page! ;-)

My journalling says this: You are always in my thoughts and prayers.  No matter how far you are.  I wish for your happiness and love everyday.  No matter the age, I always look out for you and will always be your sister.  You have grown into a super man @ age 40!!

I really do miss my brother and so wish he would be a part of our daily lives! I wish also that he would find his happiness and would also recognise it, when he found it!! He's a good man and I love him dearly!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

Enjoy - Prima July BAP

Hello Everyone

I hope you have enjoyed your Sunday! I have had a super day with the family and also managed to find a little bit of scrappy time.

The Prima July BAP is a goodie and so I really wanted to play along.

2014 July BAP Sketch KasiaK

Here's my take on it.

It's a combination of a few Prima collections, using up bits and bobs.

It has been a tough week for me, in many a regard, not least, my Dad being rather unwell and in the hospital.
It just made me realise again, that life is really just a trickle in the ocean of time!

I used lots of flowers and did some leaf fussy cutting. I love flowers, even in real life and my garden and cut flowers are a real treat for me! ;-)

I added 2 leaves and they are symbolic of a dream catcher. I still have many dreams and a bucket list! I really hope to live these out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the visit.
Have a super evening!

My First Book - CSI Case File no.109

Hello Everyone

Monday sure was a busy day! I hope you have had a good one.

I finished my page for the new case file at CSI...it is a goodie.

Here's my take on it.

Evidence: Books stacked, Mimic the architechural details
Testimony: The word read
This photo is about the first book that I have ever owned, one that I bought for myself.
My journalling is a tag in the little folder behind the photo that says Memories.
My journalling says this: This was the first book I ever bought for myself. It was bought at a fete or something but I remember how proud I was that I owned a book. I read it from cover to cover and many times over! It was the first of many books that I bought and loved! 1983

I used a combination of Prima School Memories collection and 7 Gypsies, along with some DoCrafts. Quite a mix match.

I wanted the page to have a bit of a vintage feel, as this book is quite old.

I love reading, and this was certainly the start of my love affair with books! This, however, is probably the only book that I for certain know the Title and the author...I am just horrid at remembering book titles and authors. BUT ask me any song title or artist and I could tell you. I wish I knew why that is! LOL

Anyways, thanks for visiting today!
I hope you have an awesome day!

Life Journey - OUAS October Challenge

Hi Everyone

Today was an absolutely blissful day and exactly how Sundays should be, with a good mix of family and scrapping! Just perfect! ;-)

I completed a page for the OUAS challenge here. The theme was "journey" and the sketch this one.

Here's my version.

This photo was taken on Joe's 3rd birthday and was on his birthday outing on the Gautrain to Sandton Sqaure/ Nelson Mandela Square.  On the one side it has a huge staircase coming down into the square and this is where the photo is taken.

My journalling says it all, and is really a little message to Joe about his life journey, and my wishes for him.
"Life's journey is a step at a time, and my wish for you is that you would make everyday count! My wish is that your journey takes you to many far and wonderful places and that you see beautiful and interesting things. I pray that your journey is full of happiness and abundance and that it is rich in opportunity and variety. May your heart be the key to every step you take!

I used Teresa Collins "Far Away" Collection and a number of  vaious stamps for my background. The flowers are Prima and Bazill Bascis.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to say hello!
I really appreciate it!
Have a super evening!
