Live, Love, Life Tag - Penelope Dee Captured Collection

Hello Everyone

I am back again today with a general tag, using the gorgeous Penelope Dee Captured collection.

I did some watercolour effects on the background, which really just made this tag pop.

I also used the fabulous Colour Me flowers, which can be coloured any colour you require!

I hope you will find some scrappy time this weekend...

Hello Mixed Media Tag

Hello Everyone

I am soooo pleased that it is Friday! ;-)

Roll on weekend! ;-)

Today I am sharing a tag that I made a while back already, but just have not been able to share yet.

I used the paint resist technique on the background, with distress paint and distress ink.

I then added my chippie, which had been coloured and a clear crackle applied over.

The little white flowers are handmade and a gold ball added to their centres.

I am so pleased with these little flowers...they take time and effort, but are well worth it.

I so love making tags and they always come in so handy! ;-)

General Tag

Hello Everyone

I am on a "tagging" mission again, at the moment and so I hope I don't bore you with another tag today! ;-)

The inspiration for this tag was some really pretty papers from a free insert in a magazine.

So here it is.

I love the lavender chippie too, this was certainly something that I wanted to add and use.

Sometimes I can be a real scrooge when it comes to pretty papers.

I am almost afraid to cut them up and use them. I feel that if I don't do them justice, that it would be an absolute crime! LOL...maybe I am a little crazy!!!! ;-)

Anyways, I hope I do these papers justice! ;-)

General Tag - Distress Oxides

I was playing with my Distress Oxides again and came up with this little tag.

I also used the oxides to colour the flowers. I love the chalky, soft finish that it gives.

I love the simplicity of this tag.

Mixed Media Tag - Distress Oxides

Hello Everyone

My internet and telephone line is still off.  It is going on 4 weeks now.

It is really not funny anymore and I sure hope that this week it will be resolved.

I hope that you have been having a great weekend and that you got some time to create.

I got some great crafty time and have a mixed media tag to share.

I absolutely adore my distress oxides and really loved this spotty background that I created, on some old music paper.  I used Broken China and Wilted Violet.

I also coloured the delicate chipboard piece with Broken China too.

I then added some leaf diecuts and my own handmade flower.

This little layered flower is just the perfeect touch. LOL

Lastly I used a rub-on that I had for ages and gave this general tag a little title.

Live in the Moment - Penelope Dee - Diamond Layne

Hello Everyone

I am so blessed to have Penelope Dee send my goodies to play with! ;-)

Their last collection was Diamond Layne and I made a large tag, using this pretty collection.

I played with my distress inks and oxides to create the background, along with Penelope Dee stamps.

I fussy cut some elements and also used some die-cuts.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love my distress oxides.

General Tag - Mixed Media Tag - Take it Make It Challenge August

Hello Everyone

I have a mixed media tag to share with you today.

I did a paint resist background, where I stencilled with distress paint first and then once dried, I added distress inks over this.

I then also added drops of white acrylic paint.

I also stamped and coloured those beautiful blooms, which were fussy cut and then layered.

Here's a little closer look.

I really love all the layers and the colouring on this tag.

I added some white chipboard and white leaves, to make this tag pop.

Lastly I added an old rub-on that added a little bit of detail too, along with the metal title.

General Tags - BoBunny Aryia's Collection

Hello Everyone

I'm back again today, with some more tags! ;-)

I used the same paint resist techniques on these tags and also used the gorgeous Aryia's Collection from BoBunny.

I used Pentart Cream Acrylic paint and stencil on the first tag to resist a distress stain and Pentart White Acrylic paint and stencil to resist on the second tag.

General Tag - Tim Holtz and Penelope Dee

Hello Everyone

I have been on a tag frenzy lately and I have had so much fun, playing and experimenting.

So here's my latest one.

I used the Penelope Dee poppy stamp, along with lots of Tim Holtz goodies and stamps.

The background was made with distress paint, which I dabbed over the wood stencil. Then I rubbed over with distress stains and inks.

The paint resists the stains and inks and makes for a gorgeous layer.

Lastly I used my flower/swirl stamp and created another layer on the background.

The poppies were stamped and coloured with acrylic paint and a sponge.

Then I fussy cut them all.

They really pop off the background.

What a Day Tag - Scrap Africa Mood Board no.83

Hello Everyone

 

There is a new mood board up on the Scrap Africa blog! ;-)

But sadly this is the last challenge and I will be discontinuing this challenge site.

I have loved every moment, but it takes up a lot of time, co-ordinating and postings, as well as funding it myself and all the prizes.

So yes, this journey is coming to an end.

I want to spend more time on my other Design Teams and I also have other little ventures planned! ;-)

 

So here's the mood board.

 

 

I created a tag for this one and just love the greens and blues.

 

 

I really dove into my stash and used some My Mind's Eye goodies that I have had forever.

 

Simple but pretty! ;-)

General Tag - Graphic 45 / Sizzix

Hello Everyone

2 posts in 1 day! I can back to share another project with you...a general tag.

I dove into my stash again and used some French Country from Graphic 45 and a Sizzix die cut that is really so gorgeous! ;-)

Here's the tag.

I just love this collection because of the beautiful sunflowers. Sadly I have used every little last sunflower on this tag. But yes, there was no wastage of any little scrap! ;-)

I have wanted to use this die for ages now and so I was pleased that I got to use it on this tag.

Here's a closer look.  I used some gold pearlescents for highlights.

I also used some black pearlescents for the dots.
