This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Salt Water Therapy Layout - Penelope Dee Tidal Florals

 Hello Everyone

It has been a very long time since I have posted on my blog and I hope to say that I am back.

Life and COVID happened, along with buying a shop and running it with my sister. So yes, life has been busy but I have been crafting and creating all the way, in the background and also for classes.

So today I am sharing a DT project for Penelope Dee, using the gorgeous Tidal Florals collection.

The photo was from a little holiday, 3 weeks back at Salt Rock. It was such a lovely holiday and such needed sustinence for my soul.

I did some watercolour effects on the background and then added the photo, along with chippies, twine string and fussy cut bits from the collection.

I wanted to keep the focus on the photo though and so kept the cluster down the right-hand side of the photo.

I love the twine string in between, it added texture and really gave a beachy feel.

I coloured the chippies with Dsitress Oxide - Peeled Paint, Lucky Clover and Bundled Sage.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by. I really hope you will pop back soon and check out soooo many projects that I have lined up to share.

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Be Your Charming Self - Mixed Media Layout - Penelope Dee Artisan

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a masculine layout, using the fabulous Penelope Dee Collection, Artisan.
It is just fabulous for boy and man pages.

I used a stencil and many Penelope Dee stamps to create the background design.
I had so much fun with all the stamps and different colours and was really pleased with how it turned out.

Here's a closer look below.

I also fussy cut lots of those leather pieces and made a matting for the photo, along with some buckles and other little bits.
I also used a white gel pen to highlight the stitching.

This boy of mine is getting so tall...one of these days he will be taller than his Mom!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
Have a fabulous Monday!

I have been using my altered Enid Blyton reading book, to create some of my art journal pages.
Today I am sharing some of those.

I created this page, using the Penelope Dee Paradise Collection. I really love how this one turned out.

I had so much fun with this page and it was a real stress reliever! ;-)

I fussy cut lots of bits and pieces and used die-cut pieces too,

I used wool, little pebbles and all the little bits and pieces for different textures and also adding dimension.

I love the sentiment too...it's so true..

Paradise is always where Love dwells.

Merry and Bright Mixed Media Layout - Penelope Dee - Christmas Story

Hello Everyone

I am soooo excited that I am, again, this year a Penelope Dee Ambassador!!!!
Woot Woot! I am so blessed and honoured! Thank you Trodat and Glenda! ;-)

Penelope Dee is definitely one of my favourite Products!!
They supply internationally too now, so if you can get your hands on these papers and products...
do do do!!!! ;-)

I had created this page back in December with the Christmas Story collection.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the cardstock circle.

I coloured the chippies with Distress Oxide and then created the clusters with fussy cut leaves and die-cut stick bits.

I used Nuvo Crystal Drops for the berries - Moroccan Red. I love how these Nuvo drops really keep their shape.

I also used some 13arts Gold microspheres in my clusters, for some added texture.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a super week!

Paradise Layout - Penelope Dee - Paradise

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are all well.
The weeks seem to be flying past and time seems to be getting away from me a bit.

Anyways, we have some very hot and dry weather here, so I am really hoping for some rain soon!

I created a page for Penelope Dee recently and really had so much fun with this beautiful collection.

I wanted to use texture and just a few bits to showcase these gorgeous papers.

As always, I fussy cut a number of bits and gave them dimension, which really did make them look like the real thing.
I also used chippies, which I coloured with pigment inks.

I also used a starfish stencil on the background, which added some interest too, along with the string, pebbles and gauze.

I really did love this page and it certainly carried me off to far off places, with smells of pineapple and tropical flowers! ;-)

Thanks so much for popping today!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Be You Mixed Media Layout - Penelope Dee Meadow Collection

Hello Everyone

I am back today with a layout of my Mom.
These photo's were taken when she was in her 20's.
She is now 81.

I used the pretty, pretty Meadow collection from Penelope Dee.

I did some flower stencilling on the background. I added white highlights and contouring to the stencilling.

This collection really has such fabulous wording. I had to use them, they are just so apt.

I fussy cut bits, as I always do and then also used some die-cut leaves and chippies.
I coloured the chippies with distress oxides.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I really do appreciate your visits.
I will be round your blogs soon for a visit.

You are Beautiful Mini Album - Penelope Dee Meadow Collection

Hello Everyone

It's a Saturday morning and I am looking forward to a day of relaxation and time spent with family later! ;-)

My sister and her girls have been through a difficult few months and I wanted to give them a little something to encourage them and just keep them grounded in faith and belief.
So I created this little mini album, with the gorgeous Penelope Dee Meadow Collection.

I altered a little advertising booklet, which I received in the post and it became the mini album.

This collection had gorgeous stamps along with super wording on the patterned papers.

It really didn't take me that long and took just a few hours over a weekend.
It is simple but a gift from the heart.

Thanks so much for coming to have a look! ;-)
I really appreciate the visit.

Have a fabulous day!

Always in My Heart Card - Penelope Dee - Rustique Collection

Hello Everyone

I was able to play some more with the gorgeous Rustique and Wanderlust collection from Penelope Dee and I created this vintage card. I really love how this card turned out.

I used oxides to colour the chipboard and then added some fixative, to give it a little shinier look. Not hugely so, but allowed the colours to show up better on the shiny chipboard.

I also added little bits of leftover lace around the edges of the card.

I used a new die-cut set to cut these leaves. I really love this little set.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the visit.

Have a gorgeous day!

Travel Wallet - Penelope Dee - Wanderlust Collection

Hello Everyone

I have a super travel wallet to share with you, that I created with the stunning Wanderlust collection from Penelope Dee! ;-)

I had soooo much fun creating this wallet.
I used the faux leather technique.

I explained the technique on a previous blog post here, if you would like to know how to do this.

Here is the cover of the wallet! ;-)

I used some washi tape on the folded edge, along with some of the beautiful Penelope Dee chippies, which I coloured with distress ink.

Now for the inside.

I created pockets, some tags and used Penelope Dee stamps.

I even upcycled a clothing tag, which was used in one of the pockets.
(shown above).  It was the perfect colouring and styling for this wallet.

And then lastly the back cover...

I really do like this faux leather effect and it really is not very shiny and feels just like leather! ;-)

I will definitely put this to good use! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a great Friday and weekend!

Down to Earth Mixed Media Page - Rustique Collection Penellope Dee

Hello Everyone

I have certainly been missing in action on my blog, but gladly I am still here to tell the tale! ;-)
LOL
I have been super hectic and then I also took a few days off, during the school holidays, to spend with my son. Then I also got a really bad dose of the flu, which I am still trying to shake off too!

Anyways, I am sharing a real favourite page today, one I created for Penelope Dee, using the gorgeous Rustique Collection! ;-)

Here it is.

I had this idea to create the sunrise colouring and effect around the photo, which is exactly what this photo is about.  It was a beautiful sunrise at Redhill Farm, Limpopo Dec 2017.

So I used the gorgeous, tree chippies from Penelope Dee, a chipboard frame from Blue Fern Studios and some grassy and twiggy die-cuts, along with Paperartsy Infusions and distress oxides, to create the sun and the sunrise colouring.
I am such a fan of these beautiful "sprinkles"! LOL

I also used the Blackcurrant sprinkles to colour the title.

Here you can see the sun and the twiggy branches.  I used a circle die-cut and some paper to create my outline and then dabbed distress oxides in and around the sun. Then I added some more sprinkles and colouring.

Lastly I added some white splashes along the bottom section, just to lighten it slightly.

I really love how this page turned out.  It is definitely a favourite for me! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!

Fathers Day Cards - Penelope Dee Wanderlust

Hello Everyone

Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers out there today, wishing you all a blessed and super day! ;-)
I spent the day with my family and it was great to sit around the fireplace, have some lunch and just enjoy each others company! ;-)

I created some cards for the men in our family, using the Wanderlust Collection from Penelope Dee, along with a few bits from Go See Do and the Maestro Collection.

Here's the first one.

I went a bit rusty and grungy on all 3 cards and really love the result.
I played with Infusions from Paperartsy too....I love these little sprinkles! ;-)

Here's the second one.

And a closer look...

Lastly, the 3rd card.

Here's the close-up.

On all these cards I used chippies, metal bits and charms, washers, embossing powders, 3D powders, 3D balls, Infusions and gel medium.
I can't tell you how much fun it was to play! ;-)

I really love this collection from Penelope Dee and I really love the Infusions from Paperartsy. They are my new favourite sprinkles! ;-)

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I hope you had a fabulous day!

Cheers for now
