This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Friendship Card

Hello Everyone

I am lucky to have a brother in the UK and he often brings me over magazines.
I really have some fabulous one's and they come with some fabulous goodies too.

So I used some of these to make a sunflower, friendship card.
I love the bright and sunny colours.

The embossing folder and the word stamp was from the magazine.
This sunflower stamp is one I have had for quite a while.

I created the background with distress oxide ink and then added some water drops.
Lastly, I embossed the cardstock.
It just adds another layer of interest.

Here's a close-up of this sunny card.

I love that these sorts of cards can be used for any occasion.

Thanks so much for popping by my blog!
I hope you have a super weekend!

General Card - Mixed Media

Hello Everyone

I have wanted to create a monotone card for a while now, with various mixed media.
It seems to make the card look incredibly soft.
I think I achieved it with this card.

I used texture paste and a stencil for the background and then coloured it with distress inks and water.

The chipboard I covered with texture paste and then added some all purpose ink to colour it.

Here's a close-up.

I purposefully did not put a title on the card, so that it really can be used for any occasion.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous Thursday.

General Mixed Media Card - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

We were away this weekend.  We went to go and visit my hubby's Mom, up near Alldays.
It is beautiful African bushveld up there and was really so nice to be able to relax in nature and just enjoy the family.

I will share some photo's with you shortly...

But here is one of the sunset on Saturday.  It was just magnificent.

I took my scrappy goodies with and had some time to play on Saturday, as it was so very cold and so we spent quite a bit of time inside.

I created a general mixed media card, using the gorgeous Botanicabella collection from Graphic 45.

I did a lot of fussy cutting for this card, but I am really pleased with the result.

Here's a closer look.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend and Monday!

General Cards

Hello Everyone

I met up with my scrappy buddies last week Tuesday and I managed, through all the chatter and laughter, to create some cards! ;-)

I used the soft and vintagey Rustic Harmony Collection from Kaisercraft.

I used an old BoBunny butterfly stamp to create the background! So simple...yet really effective, I thought! ;-)

I always like having different cards on hand, for all sorts of occasions. These are just the sort! ;-)

Hope you have a super evening!
