This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Time Flies - OUAS July Challenge

Hello Everyone

I have had such a busy day, that it is actually so nice to just sit behind my PC and just have a few mins to post this page today and just relax a little.

My page is for the OUAS challenge.

Journalling Theme: "Grow"

So I went and found 2 photo's of Joe, 4 years apart. It was amazing to see the difference and this is what I wanted to scrap.

So here's my page.

My journalling in the little envelope says this: My Sweet Boy, you are growing up so quickly! Just the other day you were a baby boy and now you are already turning 6. I love you more each day and love watching you grow! You will always be my Sweet Boy!

I used My Little Yellow Bicycle Saturdays Collection, and love that the diecut piece was stitched. I then did some gesso stencilling on the background and added all the bits. The flowers are also from the Saturdays Collection, with a few Petaloo flowers thrown in between. The chipboards rounds are Enmarc Crafts and the corners Celebr8. The leaves are Petaloo as well, and are coloured with Enmarc Dazzles.

I cannot believe how the time has flown and my baby boy is no longer a baby! In a way I am sad, but in another, so love the relationship that we share now. He is certainly growing tall and I hope that we will always be close.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Last Rose of Summer - Challenge no.18 - Scrap Africa

Hi Everyone

I hope you are having a super Saturday! I have been quite productive and have lots of projects to share with you, but will try to not cram them all into one post! ;-))

There is a new challenge at Scrap Africa and it's all about this.

Use texture paint or modelling paste, either with a mask or stencil or free hand and any other wet medium like paint or mists etc.

So here is the page that I created, with some inspiration from (if I can remember correctly) Adrienne Ford and Kelly Foster, both having used the foam leftovers on their pages.

I used a Prima stencil with gesso for the background and then coloured with water colour paints, as well as Enmarc Dazzles Victorian Rose. The chipboard is also Enmarc and the flower Kaisercraft.

The papers used are Basic Grey Sweet Threads and I am pleased to stay that I am really trying to make a dent in my stash! ;-) The alpha's are from the same collection too.

We hope that you will come and have a look at the super inspiration and also hopefully play along here.

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a super day!

Tree Fella's - CSI Case File no.73

Hi Everyone

The weeks are flying by, and the weekends even faster! I can't believe that it was Friday night a few hours ago and already it is Sunday afternoon! I wish the weekends would last forever!! ;-))

I played along with a CSI challenge and the colours were a little challenging for me, but I managed to create a page.

So here is my page.

There's a little play on words in the title, with Tree Fella's, as they are also fellers.

Evidence: Circles
Testimony: My jounralling is a series of directions
Then men in our family (Dad, Johann, Rudi and Mark) were asked to help out with some tree felling in December 2012, while they were all on leave. It turned out into 4 different days and 4 different locations! So they became the Tree Fella's (fellers)! My Dad was the organiser and the adviser and shouted directions.
The journalling spots say this:
- Hold onto this rope and make sure the branch is secure. Be careful now!
- Hold on tight now, is that saw secure? Okay boys, let's get this job done quickly.
- Hey guys, please be careful. Make sure that branch doesn't fall the wrong way! Watch out!!

I used the Fancy Pants Designs Swagger collection, with lots of spritzing and colouring. The chipboards are Enmarc and Design Worx, and the alpha stickers are Crate Paper.

I really wanted to add lots of texture, to add to this masculine page and love that way that it turned out.

Thanks so much for popping by!
I do so love your visits!
Have a super evening!
Denise
