This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Make Waves - Sketchabilities #119

Hello Everyone

I have a page to share with you today for the Sketchabilities #119 sketch.

I have been wanting to do a beachy page of Joe, for a while now and this sketch just lent itself to the idea in my head.  So I created a mixed media page.

I used the super Pink Paislee collection, Nantucket. I really do love it.

I used some real shells, along with my chippies and woody pieces.

For the sun I cut a circle from one of the yellow patterned papers and really liked these little seahorses facing one another.  Then I just added some thready wool and it became a sun! I thought it turned out nicely.

I used lots of paint, sprays, stamps, dry walling tape and gesso. I really did enjoy playing with all of these mediums.

Overall, it still has a pretty clean look....

This photo was taken last year, when Joe and I were at Salt Rock in September...it really was such a nice time for us and we really did have a blast!

Thanks so much for popping by.
I hope you have a super evening!

Beautiful - S365-3 CSI Case File

Hello Everyone

The rain finally let up today, so I was actually able to take a photo of the page I want to share.
It is for the CSI/Scrap365 challenge here.

I loved the soft colours of this challenge and so did some de-stashing.

I used Pink Paislee Sweetness Collection, along with some Enmarc Chipboards, Prima and Petaloo flowers.
I did some gesso stencilling on the background as well.

Evidence: Vertical strips, flowers, pearls, texture paste, silver accent
Testimony: The word "Sparkle"
My journalling is about this sweet neice of mine, when she was about 3 years old. She really was so very soft, sweet and at just a wonderful age. We were very close.
So my journalling says: "You absolutely sparkle and shine. You are such a sweet Little girl. I love your smile and your radiance. Keep the smile on your face and the joy in your heart".

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super evening!

Sunset - Scrap Africa Sketch no.23

Hello Everyone

Welcome to November! Hasn't it just come around so fast!!

There is a new sketch challenge up at Scrap Africa here. It is a sketch from PageMaps and is a real goodie!

So here is my take on it.

I really love this collection by Pink Paislee - Nantucket and so knew it would be perfect for this page.

I did some acrylic texture paste stencilling along the top and bottom edge of my papers, and then also added some Glamour Dust for DecoArt.

The acrylic texture paste and Galmour Dust was a little bit difficult to photograph, as it either shined up too much, or one could hardly see it! So apologies, but it looks pretty good on paper!!!! ;-)

These photo's are again from our recent beach vacation and was taken just before sunset.  The colouring at this time of evening was just spectacular! I just so love the beach and Joe does too! ;-)

Well I hope that you can play along, you have until November 14.

Wishing you a super weekend!

Fun - CSI Case File no.82

Hello Everyone

I love weekends, and this is no exception! It's always great to have time to scrap, as well as catch up with friends, relax and just chill!

I also spend some time this morning cleaning and organising my scrap room! It is like a new wave of inspiration has swept over me and I am ready to scrap up a storm! ;-)

I finished my page for the Case File no. 82.

So here is what I created.

Evidence: Stamps, Wet Medium
Testimony: Hot, Fun

I so love summer and I really look forward to it arriving soon! Probably a little early, but a girl can dream!!! LOL

I know a little boy who is also waiting for summer, because he already asked my last weekend, if he could swim!!! I mean it is kinda still African winter here and the water is freezing, so my answer was a resounding NO!

In any case, my journalling is about this love for summer and swimming.
Journalling says: There is nothing better than spending time in the pool on a hot summers day! This is Joe's favourite pastime! He is a little fishy!

I used My Mind's Eye Kate and Co. Oxford Lane collection, along with an Enmarc Chipboard, Pink Paislee Stencil and a Bo Bunny stamp.

Thanks for popping by, hope you have a super Sunday!

Today Be Happy and Enjoy Life

Hello Everyone

I hope you are having a super Saturday!

I have a page to share with you with for the current CSI challenge here.

And here is my page.

This photo was taken at the park down the road from us, where the pathway into the park has this arch of Jacaranda tree's. One would think that it's spring or summer, but was taken about 4 weeks ago.  This winter has been so mild that the trees have not really lost their leaves and the grass is still green in many places.

I used Teresa Collins papers Now and Then as well as Everyday Moments. I also did a lot of stamping on the background with some Bo Bunny stamps and a Pink Paislee stencil. The chipboards are Celebr8. The flowers are Prima and Petaloo and my leaves a diecut from Seart Craft.

The title is all about my journalling too, and this is documented on the "Recorded" tag under the photo.
My journalling says this: My wish for you is that you would live everyday to the fullest.  That you would know what you want from everyday, and that you find the things that you are passionate about.  Live what you love and love the life you live! Find you happiness and joy in all things, and enjoy and nurture the small things!

It is my sons 6th birthday tomorrow and so is simply all the things that I wish for him as he grows and lives each day.

I hope you find some scrappy time this weekend.
Take Care

Make Waves - CSI Case File no.80

Hello Everyone

I hope your week is going okay and hopefully Friday is making it's way steadily to you! ;-)

I finished my CSI Case File for the challenge here.

As you can see, it has great colours and a super sketch.

So here is my version.

I used the Pink Paislee Nantucket collection, which was the perfect colouring for this page. I applied gesso and also added 3 different spray inks, which also have a little bit of a sheen.

Evidence: Triangle photo corners, flowers and texture paste
Testimony: Documenting Summer

My journalling is at the back of the page and says this:
There is nothing better than a beach summer holiday! Where all we do is swim, sand and sea! This was our 2011 holiday at Umhloti and the kids had an absolute ball! It was bliss to just relax and enjoy the sun, water and each other! To me, there is nothing better!

Thanks for popping in!
Your visits are always appreciated!

Sweet - SATW July Challenge

Hello Everyone

I hope you have had a super Monday!

I have a page to share with you today for the SATW July Challenge.  This is the challenge.

Here is my take on it.

I picked out the subtle colouring from the mood board and then used the sketch for the inspiration.

I have used Pink Paislee Nantucket papers and accents, with a Prima stencil for the background and Basic Grey Hello Luscious chipboard pieces,  The flowers are Petaloo and Kaisercraft.

Here are some close-ups for good measure.

I did some fussy cutting too, from this Nantucket floral paper and also used a pearl string, that I had received from Sandie John.

Thanks for coming to have a look!
I hope you have a super evening!
