Spring Booklet - ScrapBerry's March Challenge

Hello Everyone

Apologies for being missing in action, but this past week was so crazy and I just could not get to sit down in fron of the PC to type a post.

But, here I am and I am sharing a Spring Booklet I made for the ScrapBerry's March Spring Challenge.

I made this little booklet from scratch with watercolour paper.

I used paints, inks and stencils for the backgrounds.

I fussy cut a lot of the elements too.

This little booklet really cheered me up.  I think the colouring and the beautiful floral elements were the highlights for me! ;-)

I used some gorgeous Sizzix die-cuts on this project too.

Vintage Tag - Graphic 45/ Sizzix

I have really been making an effort to use goodies from my stash and so all the goodies on this tag, is from my stash.

I love the muted colours on this tag.

I used bits and pieces of Graphic 45, along with stamps and inks.

Flowers are the music of the Earth - Mixed Media Tag - Sizzix

Hello Everyone

I am really "tagging" you at the moment, with all my tag posts...

but I am really so enjoying creating them and experimenting at the same time.

So here's my latest creation...

I used some daisy stamps that I just love. These I stamped and then coloured with watercolour pencils, water and a paintbrush.  These were then fussy cut.

I used an Enmarc stencil for the background and some clear crackle paste.  I then coloured with Distress Inks, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold.

The sentiment is a Penny Dee stamp and the butterflies a Graphic 45/Hampton Art stamp.

I once, again, also used the fabulous Sizzix Die-Set

Mixed Media Tag - Sizzix/BoBunny

Hello Everyone

In my last post I told you that the family had been unwell with flu and that I had been under the weather too.  Well it bowled me over good and solid and so for 2 days I was in bed.

Thankfully, I am now on the mend and feeling a little better.

I had finished a mixed media tag that I wanted to share today.

I have been trying different techniques and things and so this was one of my experiments.  LOL

Here are my steps for the background:

1. I started off with a stencil and some Prima Copper Crackle Paste.

2. Then I used some Distress stain - Bundled Sage for the colouring.

3. I stamped the 3 black butterflies.

4. I wiped off the excess ink on the copper crackle.

5. I added some white paint highlights on the stencilling.

I fussy cut some sunflowers and bits from the BoBunny Enchanted Harvest Collection.

I also cut some leafy buts from my favourite Sizzix die set at the moment. I used BoBunny cardstock - chiffon vintage.

Friends Forever - Mixed Media Canvas - Funky Flair Challenge

Hello Everyone

I  can't believe it's almost a week since I last posted!! Yikes!

The family has been sick with flu and for the last 3 days I have been rather under the weather too, so unfortunately I did not create much and I did not post anything either.

I have been busy with a canvas for a few days now, which just seemed to take forever, but it's now finally finished! ;-)

I had been over to Lizzy Hill's blog and had been inspired to play along with the

FUNKY FLAIR, the Facebook challenge

Here is the gorgeous mood board.

...and here is my take.

I used BoBunny Crackle paste to create the background, along with some Distress paints and sprays.

I used some Creative Embelishments Chipboard, along with some gorgeous, new leaf dies that I received from Sizzix and some Little Birdie blooms.

I used an older 7 Gypsies stamp for the title of this canvas.  It will be a gift for a friend of mine! ;-)
