This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Once Upon a Sketch - 01 Feb Challenge

Hi Everyone

Today I want to share with you my layout for the Once Upon a Sketch challenge. The criteria was as follows:

February 1st Challenge
Journalling Criteria/theme: LOVE
 and the sketch was this.

I actually have 2 loves in my life and that is my husband and my son. So I did a layout called - My Boys  - and is about these precious loves of my life.
The picture was taken at Umdloti Beach and so I wanted to definitely bring in a sea side theme to my layout.
It came together so nicely and here is my creation below.

Here is a close-up of the natural embelishments.

This is where I tell you that every single shell and piece of wood has been collected over the last 40 years by me and my family and this layout just seemed perfect to use them on. I love the natural feel that it gives the page.

Materials used:
Heidi Swapp - Sky School stripe paper
Dazzles Spray Ink
Basic Grey Chipboard stickers
Fancy Pants lettering
Scrapbook King rub on
Corrogated cardboard (whitewashed and browned)
Doodle Bug Design Swirl Stickers
Natural Twine

Thank you for stopping by today..
I hope you had an awesome Monday..
Take Care

Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone

Today is a very special day as it's my Moms birthday and she turns 75 today! What a milestone in one's life!
I wish her every happiness and hope that her day is awesome.  We are having a close family dinner tonight and then a extended family tea tomorrow afternoon.  So in between scrapping and pottering, I am baking and icing! A busy Saturday afternoon for me!

I wanted to share 2 cards that I did for my Mom.  I had to make two, as my sister didn't have time to make one.  So here are the 2 cards.

I hope my Mom likes these.
I hope you have a great Saturday afternoon.
Happy scrapping.

I Love you..Dearly - BG Challenge

Hi Everyone

There is a huge storm brewing outside with thunder and lightning - a real African afternoon thunderstorm! What better time than to sit at my scrap table and scrap and potter a little. I also had to really be quick about getting these photo's as the light was fading fast and with the approaching storm the light was not that great in anycase.

This weeks BG challenge was this:
THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE : I Love You…  Fill in the rest of this prompt on your project.

So here is my version below and also two close ups. The picture is of my son.  He is really such a cutie and definitely the apple of my eye and I absolutely love him to bits.

I used BG Hello Luscious Papers and rub ons and chipboard stickers. I also Fiskars alphabet stamps and some red twine for my border, with some brown brads.

Thanks for stopping by today and having a peek.
Enjoy your scrappy evening.
