This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Sightseeing... Bo Bunny April Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone

Happy hump day! I hope that you are having a good week and that your Wednesday is a real goodie.

I am happy to say that I have really been diving into my stash and found some Bo Bunny papers, that I thought would be great for this sketch challenge.  Here is the sketch.

Here is my take on it.

I used Hello Sunshine papers and accents, with stamps from this collection too.  The only non-Bo Bunny is the Basic Grey alpha stickers.

I just love how easily this page came together! You know sometimes, when everything just falls into place?

This photo was taken in Rome and was a scorcher of a day! So the bright papers are also a reminder of the beautiful summer.

Okay...almost time for me to go and make some dinner...
Take Care

The Gr8t Pretender - CSI Case File # 66 / Scrap Friends Sketch Challenge #12

Hi Everyone

It has been a busy Monday and so I am pleased to have a few minutes, before I go off and get dinner ready, to post this page.

I combined 2 challenges, the CSI challenge and the Scrap Friends sketch challenge.
Here they are.

I really liked the sketch and loved the new, fresh and modern look.  So my layout hopefully does it justice.

Evidence: Check/plaid / dog accent on my journalling tag
Testimony: Documenting my doggie
This layout is about my dog who believes she is bigger and stronger than any sized dog! She is certainly the Great Pretender.

My journalling tag under the photo says this:
This is Rosie, eye-ing the boerbul across the road. She thinks she is able to take it on, and often finds herself at it's gate. She is able to squeeze herself through the bars and make a dash for the boerbul. She is all bark and hackles raised! Such a little protector and such a little aggressor!

For the strips I used washi tape and the papers used are Echo Park. I did some stamping of the checked patterns and the splodges, but my rings are painted. The stickers used are also Echo Park, as well as the alpha's.

I really love how this page came together and very pleased with this modern and fresh look.

I hope you start to the week has been a good one!
Have a super evening!

My Sweet Joe - OUAS April Challenge

Hi Everyone

I hope you are having a super weekend and enjoying a little bit of rest and relaxation!

I have finished my layout for the OUAS and am pleased to share it with you.

The theme is about "The best Day of your Life", with this sketch.

I guess there are many special days in one's life, but this is certainly one of the most special ever for me! The day Joe was born changed my life forever, and I am so pleased that he chose us for his family! ;-)

The journalling speaks for itself and is absolutely true, in every way! The photo is also so very special, as was taken about half an hour after he was born.

Here are some close-ups.

I used Kwick Crackle on my chippies, and love how they turned out. The heart was inked and then stamped over with paint. I also did some gesso work on the background, for some added texture.

Supplies used:
Echo Park Everyday Eclectic Paper
Echo Park Dearest Papers
Fancy Pants Country Boutique paper
Imaginarium Designs chippies
Belle Brocase Stencil
Websters Pages alpha stickers
Prima flowers and bird
Gauze and Enmarc Dazzles

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a super Sunday!

Such Beautiful Girls - MME March Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone

Thank goodness it's almost Friday! ;-) I look forward to the weekend eventually starting and hopefully getting some good scrappy time in. It's a very brrrr Johannesburg evening, and it seems that winter is round the corner!

I was eventually able to take a photo this afternoon, of the page that I finished for the MME sketch challenge.

Ronda Palazzari MME March Sketch

So here is my page.

I used the really super Nostalgia collection papers and chipboards, along with some Indie Chic twine and The Sweetest Thing enamel dots. Thrown in, was also some Celebr8 chippies, and Prima alphas.

I really love the soft colouring, which is so great with the photo of my neices.

This photo was taken in the centre of Roma, July 2012.

Well I hope you have a great evening, whatever you do!
Thanks for popping in!

New Zeus and Zoe April Challenge - Life as it is now

Hi Everyone

There is a super new challenge at Zeus and Zoe here and it would be awesome if you could play along.

Life As It Is Now - April Challenge

Life as it is now.... April Challenge

Thanks for calling in and checking out the new challenge for Zeus and Zoe for April!

The main aim of scrapbooking is to turn out photographed memories, into stories that can be passed down through generations.  Often, those creating the stories of the photographs, are also the photographers, and more often than not, are not in many photographs themselves. I know I am one of those people, and even though I scrap about my childhood, I rarely scrap about myself as the person I am today and who I am.

The challenge this month will be to create and journal a project about 'life as it is now', the subject being 'you as an individual'.  There is much interpretation in the depth of how you can create, whether it is a canvas, a mini album, or a scrapbook page.  You can add as much detail as you wish, and about what topics you wish to share about yourself - this is totally up to you.  Hidden journaling for personal information is fine - quite often I will write my journaling, add to an envelope and adhere this to the back of my project creation.

There is one additional requirement for the challenge, and that is to incorporate the use of buttons into your creation.  Everyone has a button stash, and in our DT kits from Marivic were some truly amazing, vintage buttons I have been just itching to work with....

I have created a paper bag, mini album. The post was going to be extremely graphic intensive, so I created a video to show all of the album.  This project is a work in progress, and still has a fair way to go for completion.

I really hope that my mini album inspires others to take part in this months challenge....
Sandie

Me, Myself & I - CSI Challenge no.65

Hi Everyone

I have a layout to share with you for the new CSI challenge here. It is a real goodie.

So here is my interpretation, using a Scrap Friends sketch.

Evidence: White Space
Testimony: Documented 3 sides of Me
My journalling is on 3 tags, each inside one of the pockets.
My journalling talks about 3 sides of me, a wife, a mother and a friend.
Wife - A wife to Johann. A giving and patient wife, who always wants a happy and loving home! I am the carer and the nourisher.
Mother - A mother to Joe - Probably one of the best things I have ever done! He has taught me to love unconditionally! I provide, care and love with an open heart!
A friend to many. I try to be fair, open and honest with everyone! I am a real softie and am a very giving person. I love people and life!

I used Basic Grey Life of the Party papers, with Teresa Collins brads and My Minds eye bling. The alpha's are also Basic Grey and the stamps 7 Gypsies.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a super evening!

Summertime in Austria - Scrap Africa sketch challenge no.16

Hi Everyone

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend, and are still hopefully enjoying today as well, as part of this Easter weekend! I have spent lots of time with the family and it has been a wonderful weekend, with eating, drinking and togetherness.

Today is also my anniversary, 7 years married today! NO...it is not an April Fool.....!!!!! LOL!!

There is a new sketch challenge at Scrap Africa here and it would be great if you could play along.
Here is the sketch.

And of course...here is the page I created.

I used the beautiful Websters Pages, from a few collections, and fussy cut all of these beautiful details! I really did keep the page quite simple, because of these details, and did not feel that it needed too much else, except the brickwork stamping. The alpha's are also Websters pages.

The fussy cut details just speak to all the wonderful things about Austria:- history, beautiful buildings, fresh fruit and vegetables, gorgeous flowers everywhere and the photo itself, of the amazing landscape and countryside.

Here are some close-ups.

This layout bring back so many wonderful memories, of our time spent in Austria, last year! I really hope that we can make a trip again, in the near future.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your day today!
Have a super day, whatever you do!
