Hi Everyone
I wanted to share a layout with you that I have done for the Prima BAP January challenge.
I loved doing this page as I did some stamping, punching, tearing and just wanted to incorporate quite a few techniques into this layout.
I started off by laying out the paper strip and paper circle and then using the reverse of my circle as the border for my scallop stamping and then also the flower stamping. I then laid out the other cardstock bits and the photo's and embelished with cut out butterflies, tearing strips of paper, journaling circle and canvas border, swirls and title.
I always like to give a list of materials used, so that if a paper or embelishment etc, really tickles your fancy, that you know where to find it.
So here is the list:
Prima - Flights of Fancy - Miss Pretty and Ladybug papers
Prima - Resist canvas border
Prima - Jardinere Romantique flowers
Prima - Flower Market Romantique flowers
Hero Arts - Indie Bloom - Stamp
Fabscraps title
Celebr8 wood swirls
Martha Stewart Punches
White and Green Bazill cardstocks
Here are 2 close-ups below of the stamping and embelishments.
Hopefully you can try some stamping, tearing, fussy cutting or punching in your next project too.
Have a scrappy day.

This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Inspiration
It's already Wednesday evening and I still don't have any pictures to post. I have been scrapping furiously and I am busy on 3 projects simultaneously, but not one that I have completed for showing!!
But I have also been surfing the net and I am amazed at the wonderful new lines and collections that are coming out from the suppliers for CHA 2012. I will be bankrupt if I try and purchase them all (I'm gonna give it a good go though). There really are some wonderful and inspiring products coming out and would like to share some of my favourites with you. These are all on my wishlist.

On the BRIGHT side has two different color schemes. Both color schemes have:

Color scheme TWO combines oranges, teal blues, greys, browns, greens and whites. It’s a more subtle, but still vibrant color scheme.

A beautiful floral line full of artistic design, as sweet as the Meadow Lark's song itself.

Accented by
Flutter Bits
...delightful paper butterflies, the perfect finishing touch to any project.

and
Melisse Flowers
...Layered paper flowers with a sparkling touch of glitz in their jeweled centers.

As well as
Clear Stamps
...fresh designs that perfectly compliment the gorgeous line.

And
Cassie Felt Flower
...Exquisite felt flowers with beaded centers which lend soft touches to your projects.

Bo Bunny Challenge
Hi everyone, it is a Sunday afternoon and I am happy to post a Bo Bunny challenge layout that I completed over the weekend.
Use a photo of a room as inspiration for our layout challenge.

I was surely inspired and made this layout of my son Joe, from 2 years ago. The photo suited the colour palette perfectly.

I was surely inspired and made this layout of my son Joe, from 2 years ago. The photo suited the colour palette perfectly.
The quilt on the bed was the inspiration for the quilty matting of my photo and the blue and white colour of the room also meant a small boy colour palette for me. When I looked at the photo inspiration it also made me think of "Home" and also why "Home Sweet Home" came to mind. There is also hidden journaling under the photo, indicated by the tag on the left of the photo. Here is the journalling below:
And lastly here is my close up.
Materials used was Bo Bunny Et Cetera paper and Home Sweet Home paper, and Bo Bunny title letters and stickers. The flowers are Petaloo and the frilled heart is Enmarc. The rub on flowers were Kaisecraft.
This challenge really made me count my blessings again and reminded me of dear ones and my sweet home abode.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon.
Til we meet here again,
Denise

Berry 71 Bleu - January Challenge
Happy Friday to you all! Weekend for me, always means creating and spending time in my craft corner.
Yesterday I was surfing the net and found this really interesting site: http://berry71bleu.blogspot.com
and really loved the projects that I saw there. I also saw that they had a January challenge, which is this: Vintage,(Shabby), or French Cottage style altered project.
January Challenge is to alter anything. You can do a LO, card, tag, box, or anything your heart desires that you think is alterable. You can add any elements you wish and use any media to alter your project.
I wanted to do something a little different for me and so decided on an altered box. I am really pleased with the way it turned out and will be using it in this coming year, as my Believe Box. This is where I am going to write little notes to myself about my dreams, hopes and aspirations for 2012 and beyond.
It is a little black box which I coloured lightly with Color Box Gold pigment to give it that "aged" look and then added the lace trim to the sides. For the lid I did quite a lot of layering with feathers, lace, paper and embelishments. The paper used was Prima - Reflections Collection - Cyrus and Prima - Botanical Collection - Walk in the Park. My cut out clock was also Prima, from their flower packaging paper and the flowers used are Prima. The Rub On was Royal Langnickel. The leaves are from Creative Imaginations/Art Warehouse and the frilly corners are Enmarc, with Upikit pearl rhinestones.
Okay enough said, here is my Believe Box.
A view from the top:
I really enjoyed making this little box and think I must try and do some more projects like this.
It made me think "out the box" (laugh laugh)
Have an awesome weekend and hopefully you find some time to create too.
Cheers
Denise

All Boy Layout
What a whacky Wednesday?! I had an incredibly busy day and was reminded, once again, that being a Mom, wife and working gal, is a 24hr job!
Anyways, I wanted to share a cute layout with you. I wanted a typically boy and typically Joe page, which meant busy, messy and full of play. So I used 99% Crate Paper Toy Box Collection and put this layout together.
I firstly did the photo matting and thereafter did the road/race-track with a circle template. Then I added all the chipboard embelishments and my journaling note. Lastly I added my messy paint bits, with brown craft paint and all the rub-ons.
Here are the two pages separately.
I really tried to push myself out of my comfort zones, and think this is what we need to do sometimes when we scrap, otherwise we end up feeling as though we are doing the same page over and over.
I hope you find some inspiration here today.
Have a scrappy day!
