This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Love Ice Cream - August Mood Board Challenge no.57 - Scrap Africa

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are having a beautiful Saturday! ;-)

We have a new mood board challenge up at Scrap Africa. I really do love it.

So here's the page I created.

I went with the sunny and bright colours of the mood board.
This photo of my niece was taken a few years back, when we went to the park for a stroll and had some ice-creams. She loved the orange lollies.

I used a combination of Lemonade Stand and Forever Young Collections from BoBunny.

There are some yummy chippies up for grabs from the Mini Art.

Botanical Tea Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

I am bursting to share that I got my new BoBunny DT box yesterday and it is just so amazing and absolutely packed with beautiful and gorgeous goodies! So I was playing last night and quickly had to get a project finished. Being in South Africa...I am normally the last one to receive a DT box.
But I am certainly not complaining and I am absolutely thrilled! ;-) I will share some new BoBunny goodness very shortly! ;-)

For now, I have a new tag to add to my Botanical Tea tag booklet.

And another shot.

I am having so much fun with these tags...there is not one that I don't absolutely love! ;-)

Well I hope you are finding some scrappy time!
Thanks so much for the visit!
Have a super evening!

Circle Gift Cards - BoBunny Juliet Collection

Hello Everyone

We are so lucky, in that today is a Public Holiday and so it has been a nice, long weekend! The weather has also been so super...warm and sunny, so I really cannot complain!

This morning I also got to catch up with a friend that I have not seen for about 5 years.  It was lovely to meet up and just have a good natter! ;-)

I also completed some circle gift cards, that I made from the gorgeous Juliet collection.
Here's the first one.

I used some Kraft pieces too, that are just gorgeous.

I used some Penny Black word stamps, along with a delicate BoBunny stamp to stamp on the sentiments and twirls.

Here's a look at the second one.

On this one I again used some Kraft wood twirls, along with some laser cut chippies, and some Misc. Me elements.

Both these circles were cut with Martha Stewart circle punches.  I really do like my new punches! ;-)

Anyways...I hope you are having a good Monday!
Be back soon!

Canvas - Scrap Affairs

Hello Everyone

I told you a while back that I had a project in the previous Scrap Affairs.  It's now time and I can finally share it with you! ;-) The new issue is out and I hope to get my hands on it tomorrow! ;-)

I did a tutorial for the canvas that I made and here is the article below.

Here's a close-up of this canvas.

If you are wondering...this is a cousins photo and that little blondie in the middle, in the front row is me! LOL.  This was really taken many, many moons ago! ;-)

I also had another canvas published in that same edition.
Here's the page...and you might remember this canvas that got me a feature at Scrap Around the World last year.

Okay...well I hope you are finding some scrappy time!;-)
I can't wait for the long weekend ahead!
Have a good one!

Thoughts Today Right Now - Scrap Africa Sketch Challenge no.56

Hello Everyone

Apologies, again, for having been missing in action again...but I just was not able to get behind the PC and spend some time here! It's been a crazy, crazy week but thankfully, all celebrations and preparations are now finished and life can hopefully get back to some normaility! ;-)

Firstly it was Joe's birthday on Tuesday.  My boy turned 8. I can't believe it...he's getting so big!!
Anyways, he had a super day and was spoilt on his special day! ;-)

I have always taken photo's of him, when he wakes up and he is opening his cards and presents.

I made this card for him.

I used Echo Park, That's my Boy paper and accents and some Penny Black stamps.

I then had to prepare, cater and host for the retirement farewell on Thursday and it was hard work, but really so special to be able to do something special and nice for a friend.
When he left on Friday, I had a good little cry, but was really pleased for him to be able to go off into retirement and enjoy his wood working.
I shared the card I made in the previous post.

Then yesterday it was my Father's Birthday and we had a lovely family dinner event for him.
I can't even share that card...LOL...as it was made, put in the envelope and we left for the dinner! ;-)
Anyways, he was pleased with it and we had a really nice time! ;-)

So yes, these are the reasons that this week was so very busy! ;-)

We have also got a new sketch challenge up on the Scrap Africa blog
Here's a look at the sketch.

So I made this page...

I used the gorgeous Country Kitchen papers from FabScraps.
I had recently also bought a circle Martha Stewart punch and was so keen to use it.
I am so happy with it...really cool! ;-)

Since Joe turned 8 this week, this page was rather apt for me, as this photo was taken in Franschoek, Cape, in January 2007. I was 3 months pregnant here and had sat down on some rocks for a breather, when my hubby snapped the photo of me.

When one is pregnant, as most of you will know, it's a rather emotional time, with all those hormones rushing about.  So I can remember sitting on those rocks and just looking at the beauty around me, but also thinking of the future and what it might hold etc. I was also thinking about my brother who was getting married and was wondering whether he was doing the right thing and whether he was happy. So yes...it was a very thoughtful moment and hence the title for the page! ;-)

Here's some close-ups.

Maybe you can play along? ;-)
You have until 14 August to upload your projects.

Anyways...hope the long post has not been too boring...

I hope you have a super, scrappy Sunday
