This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Hello Everyone

I am back today with a FabScraps Men Only project.

This is the front of the project and the base is a 12 x 12 page.

When you start folding it out, this is what it looks like.

...and eventually the inside.

Below are the instructions on how to make this booklet.

For This Project You Will Need:
FabScraps Men Only Collection paper range: C112 001-08
FabScraps Cardstock:FSC112
FabScraps Chipboard: DC80010 Barbed Wire
FabScraps Chipboard: DC80011 Arrows
FabScraps Stickers: ST112 002
Grey, Green and Teal Cardstock
Stamps: BoBunny Grid and Gogs; Just my Type; Captured; I Heart Stars
Small round punch
Small black gems
Black & White Gel Fineliner
Distress Oxide Ink – Broken China, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Walnut Stain
White pigment ink
Paper distresser
Bits and pieces from worn pants, buttons and material.

Instructions:
  1. Trim the grey cardstock to size. 30cm x 30cm. Measure 3 sections 9,5cm each and allow for 1/2cm in between, for the folds, on the width of the cardstock. Now measure 3 sections along the length of the cardstock, 1 x 6cm, 2x 12cm. Fold along all these fold lines. (See photo)
  2. Trim on the width folds, where you allowed for the 1/2cm in between the sections. (See photo)
  3. Use a white gel pen to do faux stitching along the length lines of all the folds.
  4. Trim the various bits of patterned paper to fit within each section, allowing for a cardstock border and adhere these to the cardstock base (See photo)
  5. Fussy cut the various words, blocks and arrows from the patterned papers.
  6. Use a black gel pen to do faux stitching around all of the patterned paper bits.
  7. Trim the green, grey and teal cardstock for the bottom sections of the booklet. Width should be the same as the patterned paper, but the length only 7cm. Shape the top end and adhere only on the edges, to make a folder, to insert your photo’s.
  8. Use Broken China and some water to splash over the bottom 1st section. Once dry, outline with a black gel pen.
  9. Mat your photo’s with the various cardstock, leaving a slight border.
  10. Stamp the various images, on the various folders and bits, as per the photo. Use Black Soot and Hickory Smoke.
  11. Colour the arrow chipboard with white pigment ink. Once dry, use your finger to rub over a little Walnut stain. Allow this to dry. Edge with a black gel pen.
  12. Adhere the various materials, buttons and chipboard pieces, photo’s etc. Add white and black gel faux stitching, as per the photo.
  13. Add small black gems, as required.
  14. Fold up the booklet. Use white pigment ink to edge on all the folds and edges.
  15. Trim the black and white stripes from the patterned paper and adhere to the outside of the booklet, approx. 2,5cm from the top.
  16. Add white gel faux stitching around the strip and all edges.
  17. Fussy cut the Little Man Title and adhere with double sided tape.
  18. Add 3 little black gems, as per the photo.

Love that Little Man - FabScraps - Men Only Collection

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are all well and that creativity has been abundant! ;-)

I still have so many projects that I have no shared and so today I am sharing a sweet layout, with the FabScraps Men Only collection.

I kept the layout really clean, except for some stamping and stencilling on the background.

I layered up quite a few papers and used the super wording from this collection too.

Sometimes clean and simple does the trick and the layout does not need to be busy and full.
The focus is on the photo here and I think the eye is easily drawn to it! ;-)

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
Have a fab day!

Good Friends Mixed Media Layout - Penelope Dee - Indigo Collection

Hello Everyone

In January, in South Africa, we have National Scrapbooking Day.
of course, this was one event not to be missed and was so enjoyed with the Scrappers Village Gals.

I created this page, in celebration of the day.
I used the fabulous Penelope Dee Indigo Collection.

I even made some blooms for this page, so that the flowers were the right colour.

...as is with most of my pages, I had to have leaves and beautiful blooms! ;-)

I also added a little bit of lace to the page, since we all had vintage hats to wear! It really was so fun!

Here are some photo's of me in my vintage hat! Ansie doesn't know that this hat will still go missing sometime!!!!! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
I really appreciate the visits.
Have a restful day!

Beloved Aunt - Penelope Dee - Be You Collection

Hello Everyone

I have a new Penelope Dee page to share with you and this is such a special page for me.
This page is devoted to a special Aunt of mine.

I used lots of the Penelope Dee stamps on the background and then fussy cut the gorgeous hexagons.

The photo I used was of my beautiful Aunt under a flowering plum, right at the beginning of Spring.
I think this photo is just perfect, as she blooms in every single way and has been such an inspiration to me.

I fussy cut the letters for the title and then stamped Aunt. I wanted the title to flow with the design element on the page.

I coloured the Colour Me Flowers with Fired Brick Distress Oxide and love how they turned out, along with lots of die-cut leaves.

I also handmade little pink flowers and filled the centres with Nuvo drops.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
I hope you had a great weekend and good Monday.

Cheers for now.

Art Journal Pages - Penelope Dee - Paradise Collection

Hello Everyone

I have been using my altered Enid Blyton reading book, to create some of my art journal pages.
Today I am sharing some of those.

I created this page, using the Penelope Dee Paradise Collection. I really love how this one turned out.

I had so much fun with this page and it was a real stress reliever! ;-)

I fussy cut lots of bits and pieces and used die-cut pieces too,

I used wool, little pebbles and all the little bits and pieces for different textures and also adding dimension.

I love the sentiment too...it's so true..

Paradise is always where Love dwells.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
Have a super day in Paradise.
